  1. One of Central Ohio's hidden gem's is in Groveport... the Antipasti salad from Little Italy
  2. I see Urban following the Pete Carroll model versus Kelly or Saban. Saban made a terrible personnel move to start when he let Bree's go to the Saints. That doomed him from the beginning. I think Justin Fields would be the better option in that scenario, or the kid from NDSU.
  3. I would say you'll see this in Franklinton in general. Also High Street and the square, 2020's will see a tower boom(finally for many of you) with the legislation signed by the Governor.
  4. You were 1 or 2 off, we had 18-19 in '16-'17 in Central Ohio as a whole.
  5. To be fair it was like that pre-pandemic due to all of the construction. Commercial space availability probably has hit it's bubble but many of these are multi-use which is still generating income so I assume the developers aren't very concerned at the moment.
  6. The economy; if I recall much of the failure was a result of the recession and franchisees defaulting, etc. They're making a strong push back to the southeast, Atlanta, Charleston, Savannah, Tampa areas all have or have announced stores.
  7. There has been machinery on site previously but it was removed. Hopefully they aren't just using it to stage.
  8. Maybe I was high but damn did that thing go up quick. I swear the week before Christmas there was no steel up for this when I drove past.
  9. Time for another amateur boundary sketch, this whole thing will significantly change the landscape(even further). My thoughts: I really hope whoever is in charge of the streets in that area pitches in to reformat them. Due to it's past usage the area's roads aren't really setup for this type of new traffic. From the looks of this proposal it appears South Ave at minimum will be, but Delashmut will need a reroute as well.
  10. There is a gray area where I don't know where Groveport ends and Obetz begins, but I'd bet they're even now. I think those warehouses you're referring to in Canal are actually in Groveport. I refer to it all as the Rickenbacker Region, we fly Allegiant pretty often and I work in the area often as well, the transformation over the past 5 years let alone 10-15 is crazy, you're right.
  11. Yes, to put it bluntly there’s minimal room within 270 to attract the type of businesses that this new development will attract with the benefit of this interchange. I think Galloway, Obetz, Canal Winchester and the Georgesville Road area are the only spots left in Franklin County period to do so. Even those areas are getting to the point where they have fewer plots. Obetz is virtually a warehouse town because of Rickenbacker. Plain and simple sprawl is inevitable in a growing market. As long as it benefits the regions economy I’m all for it. I think with housing you can get much more creative, but money is a factor for both developers and consumers, again making it inevitable.
  12. Not sure how you could misinterpret my comment. The current interchange is what what I was referring to with my original comment. That area is a mess for people that live and work in the area. Add 1,000+ jobs on top of that and you see where this interchange is needed. I think most are anti-residential sprawl. However if you’re going to attract light industrial and distribution business there are few other places to do it. Berlin Township has grown fast enough to demand its own high school and now another exit.
  13. You obviously don't travel that area often, it's a country road interchange for an area that has grown significantly in the past decade. Adding more businesses will only make it worse and unattractive to companies they are trying to attract. I'm sure you didn't have the same complaint when they quietly rebuilt the one that leads to West Jeff, which alone attracted about 1,000 jobs.
  14. I don't doubt for a second that the peninsula will have more height, even like you said gravity. The people in the know have their reasons for sitting on things. This seems to be the biggest one of all, my guess is we see quite a bit of height in the 3-C’s and maybe beyond in the 2020’s.
  15. I wouldn’t be surprised... awfully good timing by all tower projects in central Ohio to “go back to the drawing board” and announce new ones and that Millennial is still on the table... my guess is we see all 3, perhaps another
  16. Glad they realize that there is a better overall use for their property. There is a ton of dead space that they don't use and realistically will be able to better serve their entire organization by redeveloping. *Also I'm sure they'll address the dangerous parking situation on Edgehill. I believe they own all the area outlined in green and potentially may own the one in orange as well, haven't had a chance to go on the auditors website to check.
  17. They just updated the apartments in the past decade. Outside of that and tailgating this whole spot was ripe for redevelopment. You’re right though, the lot was the most glaring redevelopment spot. I had a few friends that lived there and the lot was rarely if ever full.
  18. I think they’re repurposing the bricks for the walls, not as backfill.
  19. @Pablo I had forgot about that one, but have to agree with @DarkandStormy I know my friends do at times but there's plenty of opportunity on Parson's. But it looks like there's an IGA that I forgot about too, is that still open? If so why all of this talk about a food desert in that area?
  20. I get wanting to move from that building but that area has the Kroger close to 70 and nothing else. Makes me wonder if they'll try and build on Parsons some where.
  21. I know their lease is up, but I'm curious as to why Giant Eagle decided to pull out of the neighborhood altogether.
  22. Ummm Chase....

If it weren't for weather Burke would be ideal for Allegiant. The private traffic alone makes it worth while, I would like to see the Grand Prix come back.
  24. The main problem is the owner of many of those lots has a last name starting with an S and ending with a 'stein.' That family sits on everything.
