  1. Barrio has already expanded, they are known as Condado in Columbus.
  2. Including Cazuelas? Yes, the old location. Cazuelas moved a block north. Looked like they were carefully salvaging some materials from the houses that are being torn down; really like to see that!
  3. It already passes Arena Crossing and the Flats developments so obviously it's not that big of an issue.
  4. Another Schottenstein proposal; just like Arshot I won't hold my breath!
  5. It's not unfounded, they lived on the street and didn't pay their taxes. People get butt hurt and can't handle it when people make statements about their political idols. If Trump, Pence or Ryan; hell anyone that isn't a democrat would've done this all hell would be breaking loose and it would be a much bigger story. That part you cannot argue!
  6. Did...did you read the article? I guarantee they'll buy them out. It's genius. I wish I had come up with this plan. Yes, the two residents either current or former that I was referring to were Senators Dianne Feinstein and Nancy Pelosi. Hence why I am not shocked that they didn't pay even the most minuscule of taxes.
  7. Shocking, two wealthy liberals didn't pay their taxes!
  8. This project has been shuttered all summer, anyone know what happened? The stairwells and elevator shaft are both complete or near completion too, just plain weird.
  9. That's been happening for years off and on with nothing coming to light. I hope this time you're correct!
  10. Sorry, but are you kidding me? Kaufman has been very consistent with getting things they propose done. 250 High, 600 Goodale, Leveque, and their complexes in New Albany and at Polaris are all completed. 225 Commons and Gravity (500 W Broad) are under construction with steel rising as we speak. The VV project has moved through a lot of big design changes and finally won approval. Kaufman have shown themselves very quickly to be one of the most capable developers in the city. That you would even mention them in the same breath as Arshot is nuts. He's probably talking about design. WPCC doesn't even want the VV project to happen. But to your point, yes, Kaufman moves quick! Hopefully the VV project is rising by year's end. Excited to see what else they have in store after the handful of large projects they're currently working on. Similarly Crawford Hoying gets things done too. Bridge Street is a multi-hundred-million dollar project they're just flying through. Then the RiverSouth tower and the Short North Moxy tower will be putting up steel within the end of the year. Wish one of these two could take over this project. I was commenting more on the quality of Kaufman and Schottensteins product. You look at 600 Goodale which is now 4-5 years old and it absolutely terrifies me at what they will produce on the lot in VV. Which also I'm not opposed to development there but I do think that it is far too large for that area to handle. Something like Truberry on Second would be more appropriate for that area. Crawford, Elford, Wagenbrenner, Wood, Pizzuti, Casto, Borror all produce a good and even at times great products. Compared to Schottenstein who built on old cornfields in Hilliard and New Albany without properly draining and the roads were cracking as they put them in; 600 Goodale was built with cheap materials and looks terrible already. Attention to detail and longevity is not their top priority and it absolutely should be there. Sorry for expecting better finished products for our neighborhoods.
  11. It's Arshot, so North Market and this project gets replaced or never built at all. The Schottenstein families development capabilities are subpar at best, which is a shame because they have the most money and connections. I'm looking at you also Kaufman, the only good thing they have done was the Leveque and that's because it's existing structure was already in place.
  12. Not sure but there is a new place where Daredevil Dogs used to be and technically it's out of their boundaries(even though they included other projects that are as well).
  13. LOL. So why did we spend the $80 million in upgrades if we're going to replace the whole thing in <15 years? Honestly at that point the new part may be an addition, I'd be shocked to see the airport shrinking versus growing. I see OSU or Bolton serving at the primary private aviation hub in the very near future. If I'm not mistaken OSU is planning on building a new terminal already.
  14. From what I've gathered they want to remain at the Rose building. However it's just not a reality because the end goal is to bring those from Strongsville and Beachwood back downtown. There are certainly buildings downtown big enough to house them all but not sure if any have the occupancy available.
  15. Yup, unfortunately. Would've loved to have seen this in an office or apartment building like the one on campus but oh well.
  16. It's actually in Torrance, CA. Thanks, I had thought the Honda Heritage Center was the HQ but only some of management is located in Marysville. http://www.autonews.com/article/20160125/OEM/301259964/honda-makes-moves-but-will-stay-in-california How much of a coup would that have been for the Bridge Street development in Dublin!?
  17. It's actually in Torrance, CA.
  18. I was going to say Safelite for Central Ohio but their parent didn't bring in as much as I assumed they would. AEP is shocking to me as they sold a number of assets this year, also NetJets is a Berkshire-Hathaway subsidiary. CoverMyMeds was recently acquired by McKesson which is a global 500 company and has a very strong Central Ohio presence outside of just CMM. Honda with their Marysville operations(I know their NA HQ is in California) and also BMW Financial has a large North American office in Dublin. There are more Chase employees in Central Ohio than there are anywhere else in the US. Abbott Labs primary R&D facility is out by Easton. Also weird to see Worthington Industries not on the 1,000 list as all of the industries they service have bounced back significantly in the past year.
  19. The Brunner Building across the street has topped out, at least the front facade. Also excavation has begun on the UDF project.
  20. Honestly it fits with the fabric of that block with the commercial space being filled out and the LC buildings finally coming along. 225 fits with the modern fabric of it's side of the commons, I think all is going to be well once this neighborhood is finished.
  21. I've always had a poor opinion of these extended-stay hotels, which is probably affected deeply by the bad ones (that is, the more visible ones). Can anyone elaborate on the quality, or just in general the market forces that might place one of these in what looks to be a high-end development with more distant access to an interstate highway? For companies like Cardinal, IBM or Ashland Chemical for example that have consultants coming in from around the world for a month or so at a time; this is sometimes a cheaper and more comfortable option than doing a short term lease on an apartment or staying in a normal hotel room.
  22. Renderings! http://www.columbusunderground.com/more-details-unveiled-for-new-five-story-short-north-building-we1 Typical but still better than Kauffman's proposal on Price!
  23. The Schottenstein family as a whole just sucks when it comes to real estate development. That includes Kauffman as well, sorry but they build a VERY cheap looking and feeling product.
  24. This building = another tower crane in Columbus. Hard to keep track of how many there are now! It looked this weekend like they were about to put one up at the Taco Bell site as well.
  25. Saw that Cazuela's is moving locations, I wonder if this means that work will be starting on this project soon? If so you're looking at almost 3-4 miles of consistent construction on High Street.
