  1. Yea, animal feed that goes towards food production. That was one of the more uninformed opinions I’ve ever heard. Also you do realize that solar power is transferred through those same power lines right?
  2. Go see how ugly one of these solar farms is and then you judge. Horrible use of land for not a lot of return.
  3. 100%… it’s a legacy business… also back in the day the tow lot was behind so just be thankful that doesn’t exist there anymore
  4. I’ve said from the beginning on here that delays were going to happen. The necessary infrastructure won’t be able to be delivered until at least 2025. The 2026 deadline is completely possible, but it’ll be at least Q4.
  5. It probably could be, outside of housing there isn’t much to write home about there.
  6. There is a lot of property along E. 5th that would be able to accommodate a large bus facility and be way closer to main thoroughfares.
  7. CU has been slipping… their Intel article also made me question them quite a bit but I bit my tongue
  8. Managed to snag a few pics on my way out the other day.
  9. I honestly wish they were doing a 3 story but ohh well
  10. I’ve said it once, and I will say it again. Labor and materials. Plus the general contractor Bechtel has been a complete donkey to a ton of people in central Ohio.
  11. Because a lot of PM’s in this town a petty little female dogs. They think they’re important because they “know” things but really they make it very hard to do business with them, often delaying projects.
  12. There’s really no place to move it unfortunately.
  13. I just had a memory pop up that my freshman year was 17 years ago; I barely recognize it.
  14. Well then the school district can kick rocks.
  15. I’d assume putting stress on potentially already full classrooms. Bridge Park didn’t attract families like this would.
  16. Was this post really necessary? So you didn’t like the owners views, be critical of their product/service and leave the other stuff behind.
  17. I think within the next 10 years it’s going to get even better. More and more units are coming online in downtown which just means more business to keep them entertained. I didn’t know until recently that my in laws considered moving down there about 8 years ago(before grandkids). That to me was shocking and gives me hope for the future vitality of downtown. Also workers going back to the office more and more will help boost it again.
  18. The tower has been approved for a while. But yes a lot of that work you see on Parsons is in anticipation of it starting.
  19. This thing is completely gone now, kind of looks weird. I don’t get over that way often but had a meeting at CSCC this morning.
  20. The hotel behind Tim Hortons and Wendy’s on Olentangy has been torn down, did I miss something?
  21. I’m going to beat a dead horse, labor is an issue. Interest rates don’t seem to be deterring people but Intel is for sure. A lot of things in the pipeline and currently underway. You’ll have Childrens, Riverside and all of the VA’s in Ohio that will be labor intensive coming up. Intel, LG, Market, Mt Carmel amongst others that are already underway. That doesn’t even get into the roadwork, all the subdivisions, etc. that aren’t often discussed here. Central Ohio is a hotbed still, just not enough bodies.
  22. It’s amazing they didn’t have a problem with any of it for the past 20 years because the old Astro turf was causing ACL tears left and right(speaking from experience it was horrible on everyone’s knees and joints). Now all of a sudden they have a problem with the new stuff that isn’t like concrete, makes zero sense.
  23. They’ve done it before.. the Saints after Katrina @ LSU and Daaaaaa Bears @ Illinois when Soldier Field was being renovated… my guess is the Browns play at Akron even though it’s smaller than the Shoe
