  1. yea Columbus isn’t the market that’s happening in… if it was you’d see rentals, there are barely any corporate rentals out there let alone
  2. This is what Greenhouse should’ve looked like…
  3. Not at all rude, I must’ve fat fingered my response. The image was large so I just assumed I was typing 🤣.
  4. I forgot about the north side of Gateway and the Lincoln ones.
  5. Sorry it didn’t take my text apparently. Meant to say it’s nothing new, the oldest comp in Columbus I can think of dates all the way back to Gateway which has similar townhomes as well.
  6. If you’re referring to the crane being taken down the pictures above are a different project.
  7. It definitely was coming down this morning.
  8. I wouldn’t say that, there are a ton of similarities and they benefitted from the Sunbelt boom in the 90’s. They have a ton of businesses that relocated there from all over the east coast and rust belt during that time. If you ask me Columbus feels more metropolitan like Charlotte than Raleigh does but you get the same amount of outside(of the region) influences in Raleigh as you get in Charlotte with slightly less congestion(for now). But Charlotte feels more like a “city” to me versus kind of a big suburb vibe I get from Raleigh. If I’m picking between the 3 I go Columbus, Raleigh, Charlotte however the most hidden gem of the Carolinas is Greenville, SC. The core of Greenville is amazing.
  9. Yea but North Hills has zero anchors besides Harris Teeter. Also Raleigh is “tighter” and has a much different topography than Columbus which also is why we don’t have much height at any of these places. So they’re not apples to apples, the part you’re showing is primarily residential. Long and short I believe we’ll get something very unique at Tuttle and will get height at Polaris.
  10. Completely understand but just stating facts haha
  11. I’ve been to this “Easton” several times and it’s more Bridge Park than Easton.
  12. Agreed the Arnold doesn’t bring the crowd that SXSW & ACL brings, but close… sports at the two universities is a wash… we might not be a nationwide or worldwide destination but like you said that’s part of why I love it here, you can still enjoy the city without battling tourists
  13. In my opinion six of one, half a dozen of the other. Columbus was bigger than Austin for a very long time. Austin had a solid tech presence for decades with Dell and the weather. We had the first Easton(twice if you count Continental). We have a solid base of companies here and a diverse economy. Being the “best kept secret” hasn’t exactly helped us, but I love when people come from out of town and are impressed by how much we truly do have going on in Central Ohio. Now, I 100% agree the rest of “core” Easton needs to have some height. There are some large buildings there in the surrounding areas but the lots by the Hilton need to be two or three buildings with double digit height.
  14. Sorry that it’s blurry but it’s a screenshot of an ad for Sutphen. If you’re not familiar they’re one of the leading manufacturers of fire apparatus based right here in Central Ohio. They use Bridge Park in this video to demo the sharp turning radius of this ‘tiller’ style ladder truck.
  15. Old Oberfields production facility… interesting, don’t really remember hearing about that being sold
  16. I guess I’ll wait until the exterior is done. The original Gravity felt more akin to the Commons to me but we’ll see. G2 even felt that way, I’m just not getting my hopes up. The original proposal would have also looked cheap despite it having a great amount of detail; it’s just hard to execute when all they’re trying to do is rush it through.
  17. I hate to say this but my biggest fear seems to be coming true with Greenhouse. Kaufman killed it in Franklinton and has now regressed to a lesser build quality on this project; which is the primary reason for me being out on the original proposal.
  18. I guess it depends on where in Groveport and where in GV… for the latter it would have to cross over two interstates and Berliner just to get to civilization again. But I’m beating a dead horse, to the OP… I wouldn’t worry about it.
  19. A dirt oval they for sure water and rally cross depending on the style they would as well. So unless your backyard physically backed up to the track the dust would not travel more than a few hundred feet, maybe into the parking area depending on the season.
  20. Dust? Honestly it would just be noise pollution on the weekends. That’s what I never got about the Arshot development and people in German Village. Goodguys goes on for a solid 10 days at the fairgrounds and I never once heard it on campus which is significantly closer than any GV residence to Cooper Stadium. But then again after seeing the pushback about “The Whale” I’m not shocked.
  21. I hope not, despite that location probably being the worst one in the city. Honorable mention for the one on Riverside & Grandview.
  22. That building looks hideous now. I hadn’t been in that neck of the woods in a while but man all that orange is horrid.
  23. Sorry that I didn’t snag pics but the foundation for this seems to be complete as there is a drill on site for the pilings. The existing buildings seem to be completely demoed on the inside as well or getting close to it.
