  1. Great news! With the Crew Stadium and now this development coming online, I would hope this means we'll get plans in a hurry to connect the Arena District to the Scioto peninsula through a bridge of some sort? With all the development in Franklinton, seems like a big miss not to have one.
  2. The parking lot between the last phase of Bishop's Walk on Gay St. and The Neilston has been dug up so I'd have to think that's the next development. But I never saw news about what they plan to put in there. Are they putting in another round of Mews or townhouses?
  3. Lots of surface lots need to go, but High St is actually looking good. That picture above includes the massive 2 parking lots (High/Gay) that will be torn down the next two years with an Edwards development. A lot of the lots in that picture toward Front will be filled too. The big opportunity will be Nationwide Blvd to Long St, From High St to Grant. Way too many open lots there. The good news is that the Long St part is making strong progress as neighborhood launch closes out and some of the rumored projects for 4th and Long.
  4. Understandable. But if that's the case, downtown might not be for you. The surrounding neighborhoods are practically downtown and there are plenty of options available for you that have an attached garage or nearby parking. We should be encouraging more people in downtown Columbus to live this way. Even better, maybe they won't find the parking worth it and many will choose to ditch their cars. The more carless residents downtown, the better. Or at least 2-car households cut down to 1. If you live here, you're probably eating out a lot so most places are easily accessible without a car. If you're dining out all the time, what little groceries you need you can easily get to CVS by walk or Kroger by CBus or Cars2go. Hopefully as downtown densifies, we'll get even more options, like a mini Target. But the goal should be to get less, not more, people downtown who don't use cars.
