I'm getting an ad for Fast Track Debt Relief. Earlier I got an ad for a drug rehab place in Cleveland.

Where did you hear they were moving? I do think it would be a more successful business elsewhere. However, even a couple days after the power outages, I saw tons of people in there. Perhaps you just need to put everyone else out of business! They were looking into a move to Findlay Market. A bartender there said they also considered moving to other locations on Main Street.

JUST BOUGHT!!!! If I owned National City stock, I definitely would not be selling it at that low a price.

Midpoint was fun. I went all three nights, and I ran into several people from UO. The Scions were great, but it seemed that many of the drivers did not know downtown. I had to give directions to half of our drivers. We were with people who are not from Cincinnati originally, and they probably would not have been able to give the directions themselves.

That stretch of Vine St really has improved a lot in the past 15 months. I recommend coming down some night and go to Lavomatic. That should give you a pretty good idea. And I agree with David's suggestion of checking out the units. There are some really neat spaces in the Gateway Quarter.

I live about a block from the Gateway Quarter. My husband and I have lived here for two years, and we don't see many serious crime problems. We feel pretty safe, and the area has definitely cleaned up. We feel fine walking around together at night to some of the main areas. I see very few problems in the Quarter itself, but there are definitely still trouble spots in OTR.

Yeah, my understanding is the money is already in place for QCSII, so I don't think it will impact it.

I also shop quite a bit at the downtown Macy's. However, I think they made a huge mistake by removing their bridal registry program along with their juniors department.

If I could only fit into their clothing. :( I think their women's clothing is made for super-skinny chicks.

Also, my husband and I stopped at Javier's on Thursday for happy hour. They have some good deals on drinks, and they were good. The bartender said they plan on starting with a dinner menu next week. They are currently serving their lunch menu. They now have happy hour from 4-8 on Wednesday - Saturday.

Good news - they expanded their hours! They are now open on Saturdays from 9 AM - 1 PM, and they open at 7:30 AM during the week. Mr. xumelanie and I stopped for breakfast on Friday, and it was good. I plan on having lunch there soon as well. I know 1 PM on Saturday is not late, but it's a good start.

I hated the new layout when I first saw it, but now i don't mind it so much. Maybe I'm just used to it now.

That is really sad. My mom's family grew up in Sedamsville and went to this church. I know she was very sad when they closed it. At one time OLPH had a school with it, but I think that was torn down many years ago.

Yup. Also Lourdes for grade school and Midway for kindergarten.

I agree. I think most of Westwood looks very nice. I'm always surprised when my friends from the west side of town refer to it as bad and as a place to leave. It kind of makes me sad because the schools I attended for grade school and high school are in Westwood (I think even my pre-school is there as well). I am always amazed at how clean the restrooms are at the Westsider. I know at one point they even had hand lotion in the women's restroom!

I totally feel your pain on this. I either cut my fingers on them as well, or the contents tend to spray all over by the time I get the lid off.

Yup. I'm always excited about new businesses in downtown and OTR, but it's frustrating when it's another Monday through Friday lunch place.
