  1. bfwissel and I went to Portland back in January on one of John's streetcar tours. He made a side trip to Seattle after the trip.
  2. I wouldn't make the assumption that all people moving to downtown and OTR are just relocating from another part of the city. There are several people living in my building that moved here from other cities and states. Even some of the locals moved here from outside of Hamilton County.
  3. ^ I was thinking the same thing. A route to UT would also reach City West and the Betts-Longworth area.
  4. We still haven't heard all of the tenants yet, so there will still be more announcements coming.

Well, what's the verdict? Great invention or not? Since there is a wide wide range of opinions on smartphones here, I would love to know what you two think about your new acquisitions (beside the obvious delight you have had with tormenting your islanders via Pocket God). We really like our iPhones. I haven't had any issues with dropped calls, and they are very easy to use in general. Everything is so much faster than with the BlackBerry, and I like reading email with the full graphics. We even tested out the video call feature a few times. Several of my coworkers have either purchased or upgraded to the iPhone 4, and they are happy with theirs as well. Between the iPhone and Android, I think Research in Motion is in trouble.
  6. I don't think changing the name is a good idea. People know the "Park + Vine" name.

That would be hard to visit someone like that. I think the reason why some older people get grumpy is because of health issues. I don't know if this is the case with your grandma or not, but several people do have a hard time dealing with losing their independence.
  8. I think it's 6:00 PM, right? It depends. Court Street is 5 PM along with some other spots.
  9. It's amazing how many people don't realize that the parking meters are free after 5 PM and on Sundays.

Someone told me the other day to start doing jumping jacks now! I replied that I'm not due until next month!

Several cousins have offered to help me make a schedule for my mom. I also hoping to have some people available to take my mom up to the hospital after the baby is born. One of my brothers lives in Florida, so he won't be able to help, but the other one is in Dayton. I'm going to talk to him to see if he's available while I'm recovering.

    ^ Wow, I hope this baby isn't late! :)

We really don't have anyone planned to stay with us. Fortunately most of our families our local. I was just thinking the other day that i won't be able to get over as much to see my mom during this time, much less help out, so hopefully the people will still be around to help her out while I recoup.

It's also harder to hold it when a baby is kicking your bladder.

^ Thanks. She really wants to see the baby, so she's been fighting.

At the risk of upsetting people, I'd have to agree with this. My mom even told me that if men had the babies, no family would have more than one child. ;)

Time has flown by, especially during this past month. We've been very busy. Not only are we trying to get our condo ready for the baby, but we've also been running errands and visiting my mom a lot (which is why I haven't been on UO as much recently). My mom was diagnosed with cancer three years ago, and her doctor contacted Hospice for her last month. She's no longer driving. Fortunately, many friends and family members have kicked in to help out as well. I'm doing what I can to keep myself from getting very exhausted. Now that you mentioned it, a pool does sound nice, especially in this weather.

Just had my 34 week appointment this morning. Everything looks good, and I can't believe how close we're getting!
  19. ^I have lots of memories of Dana's from my senior year of college. I had to put my vote in there, too.
  20. Don't most cities have an earnings tax? When I was in high school, I worked in Cheviot. I had Cheviot taxes deducted from my pay check. After college, a friend of mine worked in Blue Ash. He had to pay taxes to Blue Ash. My brother worked in Hamilton, and he paid taxes in Hamilton. As West Chester gets larger, what do you want to bet that they try to pass an earnings tax as well?
  21. Our car broke down for good when I was driving on I74.
  22. We recently had to "junk" a car that was 11 years old, and it was the only car we owned. When we decided to go down to one car, we decided that it was worth renting a car when going on long trips. We figured that it wasn't worth having something happen to our only car while on a road trip, and we knew that we were trying to hold off buying a car for a long time. Sure, we still paid insurance on our old car, but we felt that we were keeping on to the old car longer by having a rental for the long trips. Also, our car was a small two-door, so it was nice to have something a little larger for luggage.
  23. The casinos in Indiana don't give free alcohol.

Wow, that went by fast! Happy Birthday, Little RNR!
  25. What I don't understand is why these property owners offered to have murals on their buildings in the first place. I would think they would do some research on Shepard Fairey before agreeing this.
