Cincinnati: Fountain Square: Development and News
There is an independent coffee shop that was trying to get a spot on Fountain Square. Last I heard, they were still waiting to hear.

I plan on trying it out this week. How are the prices?

Cincinnati: Fountain Square: Development and News
LaRosa's pizza is bland. I'd rather see a Dewey's or something totally new to the area. What about a Fountain Square Chili? In addition, I would love to see a new Servatti's open to replace that one closing this Friday. :(

Cincinnati: Fountain Square: Development and News
There does seem to be a lot of expensive places opening up, but do these places have bars inside as well? Some places with bars will offer a seperate menu with appetizers and sandwiches at reduced prices. It is great that these expensive places are opening up around the square. However, I agree that there is a need for cheaper places as well. A wings place such as BW-3 would be great. A late-night chili parlor would be great, too. :)

I don't live there, and I don't know anyone who does.

Cincinnati: Downtown: 21c Hotel (Metropole Building Redevlopment)
My husband and I got a surprise yesterday morning on the way to work when we saw dozens of police officers and the SWAT team. I think adding the sidewalks was definitely a good move. I saw so many people walking through mud.

Gas Prices
^ I don't think $30 is worth this, either.

Just curious...what is ikea age?

Kings Island
I usually like roller coasters, but I did not like riding Son of Beast. I only went on it once and did not feel safe at all. Plus, I vaguely remember there were a couple of lawsuits. All of this gave me a bad feeling. David, I agree that "feeling of discomfort" seems like an understatement, especially with a broken chest bone, difficulty breathing, and bleeding!

How cool would that be to have "West Elm" actually located on Elm St! I may actually consider shopping there if they did that! ;)

Cincinnati: Middle Earth Developers (MED)
The awesome part of this is that now that the condo association (ie me and the other owners) now own the building, we're responsible for their poor workmanship. It never ends :). Unfortunately, this won't help you, but perhaps people in MED's apartments should file complaints against them with the city's zoning board. I'm really sorry to hear that you and the other owners have to go through all of this. It's a nightmare, and I, too, wonder how these people sleep at night.

^ things like gutters and bricks falling off a building are code violations. You can file a complaint with the city's zoning department, and they will send an inspector.

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Second Sunday on Main
I found out about the event from irhine.com. I receive their email newsletter. BUt I agree, it's sad that there isn't more publicity over this event.

My husband and I were there as well today. We did the wine tasting at Mr. Pitiful's. Well worth the $5 per person.

Cincinnati: Green Twp - Legacy Place
^ I think there is enough wealth on the west side to support some upscale development, but I don't think there is enough to support a complex as large as Legacy Place. I don't think people consider JC Penneys or Steak n Shake to be upscale. However, I do agree that just because someone went to Elder, Mercy, etc. that they are wealthy. Quite a few families really cut back on spending in other areas so they can pay for these schools.

Parking = Congestion?????
A Christian Academy wants to expand parking. I fail to see why this would be a problem. Actually, fewer people would probably be driving around the side streets looking for parking. I wonder how these people would react if they had a real issue in their neighborhood - such as drug dealers, slumlords or Super-WalMarts.

A stroll through lovely Cincy streets
^ Your unit in the McAlpin will seem huge after this! ;) That does seem large for a studio and very reasonable. So I'm assuming they are cool about short-term leases as well?

I highly recommend that fruit stand. Prices are great, and the fruit is delicious. Definitely cheaper than most grocery stores. Court St. really comes alive during the day.

To be a censor at the Ohio BMV....
Another thing to consider is the Bengals license plates. They have a big "B" on the left side of the plate. I heard that someone had a personalized Bengals license plate with the word "itch" I heard it was revoked.

Cincinnati: OTR: North Main Street Discussion
I've been in OTR several times during the past month. The worst that has happened is that someone asked for money. I'm usually in the CBD 6 days a week, and my experience has been the same.

Cincinnati: Fountain Square: Development and News
Honestly, I'm surprised they need so much room. Anytime I go to the Fountain Square location, only 2-3 tellers are working. They currently have about 10-15 windows available.
