Very interesting. I know exactly where that lot is located. It's a tiny lot, so I have a hard time picturing this house being built here. Grasscat, I always enjoy reading your updates to this thread.

^ It was in the thread about the new skyscraper in Louisville. I believe someone made a comment that it was a beautiful building because it had appeared in the Chicago Tribune.

This is a good one. I laughed so hard when I originally read it.

Cincinnati: Kroger
^ Don't forget about the Kroger Card. Just what I need - another card to carry around in my wallet and my buying preferences stored in a database.

I agree with you 100%. I do not have a good impression of Columbia Township based on the Highland/Ridge area. I drive through this area at least twice a day because I live in Pleasant Ridge. It's actually embarrassing to me that some people think this area is part of PR.

Suburbanites: what would draw you downtown?
Gold Circle was owned by Federated Department Stores. They had some financial problems in the mid-80s, so they sold all Gold Circle stores. I really liked them.

exactly! ;)

Suburbanites: what would draw you downtown?
I agree with you. I think there is plenty of parking, but people do not realize this. One thing that Cincinnati fails to do is to advertise the $1 parking in the evenings and on weekends.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Mabley Place (formerly Tower Place Mall)
^ I think that Parker Flats is a little behind schedule, but I think the ground breaking is supposed to occur in a few months. It was originally supposed to start in December 2005. There's a thread about it somewhere on this board.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Mabley Place (formerly Tower Place Mall)
As a future resident of The McAlpin, I look forward to living across the street from Tower Place. :) On the other hand, my husband is a little bit nervous about having so many shops within walking distance to us. I may have to get a second job to support my shopping habit. ;)

Cincinnati: Crime & Safety Discussion
My husband and I walked down Walnut St. last night around 8:15 pm. When we walked past the Phoenix Cafe (right across the street from the Aronoff), we smelled pot. It was pretty strong. The first thing that came to my mind was that the police couldn't do a whole lot about it because of the lax laws.
