  1. Agreed. Terrible shots from my phone below:
  2. About five years ago I visited an art museum on the top floors of the Mori Tower in Roppongi Hills. When you step off the elevator on the 52nd floor, you are greeted with a two-story, large open space with escalators leading to the museum entrance. I remember being quite surprised by the scale of the thing near the top of a skyscraper.

I am invested in the Sony mirrorless system, owning both an a7RIv and an a7c. Keep in mind that lenses are probably your greatest expense, and camera bodies can be changed over time. Thus, you are investing into a lens system, not just a camera. I find the a7c full-frame is a great size for travel, and since it shares the same mount as the bigger a7RIV, I can use the same lenses on both. In my opinion, the a7RIV (same size body as the a7 IV mentioned in previous posts) is just a tad large for travel. It is, however, not a large camera body. It's just that its smaller cousin is so much more convenient.
  4. Summit county was never part of Cleveland's MSA. It is, however, part of the Cleveland-Akron-Canton CSA (Combined Statistical Area). Cleveland MSA consists of Lorain, Cuyahoga, Medina, Lake and Geauga counties. Census tracts such as MSAs and CSAs are not determined by local officials, but by the United States Office of Management and Budget.
  5. That's probably correct. I hope my comment wasn't misconstrued as though I have any inside info. I don't. I was just wondering, since Moen is owned by a company headquartered out of state, the threat of relocating out of the region had more weight. According to Wikipedia, Fortune Brands Global Plumbing Group is headquartered in North Olmstead, so moving all that talent elsewhere would be prohibitively expensive, I imagine. 6. I believe that the threat to relocate out of the region is standard modus operandi for corporations. However with Moen, being a subsidiary of Fortune Brands out of Deerfield, Illinois, I wonder if the threat has more weight. I hope not. I consulted to Moen over the years and their building is quite nice and the people friendly. I hope they stick around.
  7. Very cool; thanks for sharing this news. Tokyo is one of my favorite cities. I would love to walk on the roof of this building when it's completed. I've been to the top of the Sky Tree and the Mori Building. From the Tokyo City View (Mori Building roof) at night: The Tokyo Sky Tree on a smoggy day:

I've worked in Asiatown for 10 years and I currently live in Copley. I suggest you look on Akron's west side as proximity to I-77 is a huge time saver.
  10. I'm not sure where you got your information, but I'm skeptical anyone at Luxottica stated the reason they left Cincinnati was because of a lack of a hub. Luxottica's US headquarters is based in Mason, a Cincinnati suburb. Their international headquarters is in Milan, as Luxottica is, and always was, an Italian company.
  11. A minor quibble: Los Angeles' US Bank Tower has a roof at 1,018 feet, and Houston's 600 Travis St. has a roof at 1,002 feet.
  12. In no particular order: Los Angeles (my second-home) London Singapore Tokyo Sydney but it's so hard to choose. I also love Hong Kong, Perth, Gold Coast, Honolulu, Rome, Jerusalem, Cape Town, Stockholm, etc.
  13. From ArsTechnica: https://arstechnica.com/cars/2018/04/the-latest-hyperloop-feasibility-study-aims-to-connect-cleveland-and-chicago/ "Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA) are opening Request for Proposals (RFP) in partnership with startup Hyperloop Transportation Technologies, known as HyperloopTT, to study the feasibility of a Hyperloop line between Cleveland and Chicago." This would be very, very cool. Edit: Mods, if this belongs in another forum, please move. Thanks.
  14. Wow! Thank you so much for sharing. Tokyo is on my wanderlust list. It looks like it may be the cleanest city I've ever seen. Edit: I just got back from Singapore a couple of months ago and it looks similarly clean.
