  1. Right, back in the 80s and 90s right. Then the course wasn't kept up well and it's not been touched since. I'm surprised that Jack still has his name tied to it. It's not a dump by any means, but a pretty boring/outdated design.
  2. It's a shame that the golf course isn't in better shape. There could've been a play at getting a PGA Event once again.
  3. Looks like some significant work coming soon to Rievesch Hall to help separate it completely from Crosley in preparation for its demolition. https://ofcc.ohio.gov/static/Portals/0/Documents/Opportunities/RFQ/RFQ-UCN-23081A-AE.pdf
  4. It will be interesting to see what happens with the Multi-Color Corp building. Have to think if that's redeveloped properly, it can be better connected with Norwood (maybe rework dorl field) and Robertson Ave leading into Oakley.
  5. I hope this becomes a priority lot to get developed soon.
  6. And goodbye to the Corry Gate video board. That thing worked for maybe a week, then went out of commission for the next 3 or 4 years.
  7. I know there's been a lot of discussion internally over the last couple of years around the 10-year campus plan. I'll be curious to see what's next after this (and the Indoor facility) is completed. Have to think old Law and Crosley are up next. Daniels as well? If that's the case, I'm sure plans/ideas of these spaces are already being discussed.
  8. My thought as well. Hadn't walked over there since they broke ground and was surprised to see it. There will be some nice views from both buildings.
  9. Grabbed a few photos of the hotel and student housing project. The first phase of The District.
  10. https://gobearcats.com/news/2023/5/11/football-uc-sets-indoor-practice-facility-and-performance-center-groundbreaking-date.aspx
  11. If land wasn't at such a premium, they probably wouldn't do it. From my understanding, they have already prioritized that space for one of the bigger colleges and their anticipated growth.
  12. I would be curious to see which side of the property they choose to expand on.
  13. Maybe just as important from this article. We haven't heard much about this in a few years.
  14. Last note I'll add is that technically this project wasn't approved by the board officially until yesterday. I think that might have been part of the hold up on renderings from more conversations. They only approved the preliminary design work.
  15. That's fair and can understand. I'm certain that there's a plan in place for this project both with donors of every level and the general public.
  16. One thing I'll add is that there has been a strong open line of communication both with staff and with the top supporters of this project so far.
  17. Some of those other facilities are all-encompassing (like the Varsity Village project) which is why those price tags are so much higher. They've also been receiving $40m+/year in TV revenue for 10+ years longer than us so we're just trying to play catch-up. As for the renderings, who the heck knows right now. There are definitely conceptual ones but I believe they are waiting on all of them to be completed before they share anything. That's my guess at least..
  18. It's very similar to the Moody Center in Austin
  19. The block between Vine and Auburn ave looks so bare right now after they demolished the next building. There are maybe two structures remaining and the ATM. Have to think they are waiting to scoop up whatever is left before they move forward.
  20. Funny the angle of the WCPO article vs the Business Courier one... I believe they also inquired about the cost of adding a roof to Paycor. Curious to hear what those figures are.
  21. Looks like Uptown will be converting 237 William Howard Taft Road into apartments.
  22. Not a single rooftop terrace either. That seems like another missed opportunity.
  23. Semi-related but with all of this planned development continuing up 75, do we ever think that we get a combined Cincy-Dayton market?
  24. John makes the rounds quite a bit (I sometimes help on this front). It's always a delicate balance of letting folks enjoy the games vs. getting out and meeting folks. We have a suite we host folks in every week as well. John has been an incredible leader and the right person we need in my opinion leading us into the Big 12.
