Cleveland: Scranton Peninsula: Development and News
Seems like residential / mixed-use would be a higher and better use for that site on Scranton. Why use downtown waterfront property for large scale production?

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
There's a very large group of residents who all avoid going to this block club's meetings specifically because of all of the negativity.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
This is the type of urban format found in the shopping/tourist district in big cities, very narrow, with no parking & upstairs seating. Exciting to see in Cleveland and bodes well for the future of retail in Ohio City.

This is a pretty cool and ambitious concept - wonder who the operator is?

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
A whole lot to digest here from this graphic (from KJP's article). Huge amount of proposed new infrastructure. Obviously MRN is trying to connect this development to its Voss project, but building a pedestrian bridge? What's up with 47k SF of one-story commercial facing the greenway (parking?)? What could Future MetroParks development be? Does the new RTA station access the RLGW too? This seems like it deletes quite a bit of existing parking (good!?)

Now we just need more people to support this retail! A lot of space still left for infill and more neighbors...

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
This one was reviewed at the last meeting. Empty lot at 32nd & Franklin, 32 apts, all walk-up, parking behind. Not a big modern architecture guy but I think it looks pretty dang good.

Cleveland: Downtown: Justice Center Complex Replacement
Does seem to be unusual to say that the current building is functionally obsolete while also suggesting that an even older office building could be renovated for less...

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
Bedrock knows what they are doing and they won't purposely devalue their other property.

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
There are miles and miles of riverfront, with the most prime portion of Bedrock's yet to come. Good to have something there to get the ball rolling (or bouncing in this case). The riverfront and downtown will need a variety or different uses to succeed. A new building with people and offices and medical facilities are a good thing!

Revised plans for 45 West, Ohio City Design Review today: https://assets.courbanize.com/45-west/info-plans/2df2bd8de5325226e0ab1b9efcce720b.pdf Neighbors are strongly against and organized. Should be an interesting bellwether to see if scale & reduced parking will be permitted over neighbors protests.

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
Strategic placement forces the city to get real on the infrastructure in order to get the Cavs back downtown. Rendering requires eagle ave ramp, realignment of canal road and bulkhead work. Creates a nice bookend that isn't necessarily the most pedestrian-friendly use to promote build out in-between.

Cleveland: Detroit-Shoreway / Gordon Square Arts District: Development News
The proceeds of the Burger King lot would be negative. Current owner overpaid and most developers are on hold. Issues are rising rates, tighter lending and the 1-2 punch of new tax abatement and CBA.

In local restaurant news: Condado tacos coming into the old OHC Galley space on 25th and Detroit. Also saucy is expanding into the former title boxing space and Dominos going into Harbor 44

That's great to hear. The gaps are starting to close. Any idea what's going into the rest of the building?

Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
I think that portion of the lakefront can catalyze itself. Seems like Burke would be a good place that could use a catalyst, assuming its buildable at all....

Cleveland: Slavic Village: Development and News
What's the goal of saving this building? It's an interconnected single story purpose-built industrial building. It's been on the market forever, if it was anywhere near usable in it's current state, somebody would have bought it as industrial is very hard to come by at the moment. Not a conversion candidate for residential with the layout. Houses nearby are selling for $50k, its not exactly a hot market. Selling for the price of industrial land, minus demo costs.
