Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
I have been in apartments in Hanna, 668 and 1717 and think their quality is not only fine but even improving. Certainly better quality units than a fair portion of units in bridgeview, bingham, other buildings.

Cleveland: North Coast Transportation Center
Seems like a good plan, all things considered! Pedestrian access to east 9th and ability to get up to pedestrian bridge/mall are great connections given the site. Nice looking facility, practical enough to get built. Hope it leaves the option open for future residential or mixed use development. Now we just need to get rid of or bury the shoreway and we'll have a waterfront district unimaginable to Clevelanders just a few years ago!

Cleveland: Nautica Development
Would be interesting to think about what section could be built first. I'd imagine Harbor Inn and Building with McCarthys in it would stay for now since they are producing income. Would be nice to see the lake-link trail get built with some new buildings right along it...

Cleveland: Downtown: John Hartness Brown Buildings / Euclid Grand
Hanna Commercial just tweeted the following: "Court Appointed Receiver Orders Immediate Sale! 1001-1101 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland. Bids Due 05.26.2016"

Holy Smokes. I don't know how you get financing for a project like that, but I hope he can pull it off. I hope he adds a connection down to the lake link trail.

Cleveland: Duck Island: Development and News
Those 2 roads are the access to 1932 Moore St. which is the last house up there on the ridge. Maybe Brickman is going to build him a new driveway but I wouldn't be surprised if he had acquired that property and it is not yet processed through the county records. The house also appears to be gone in the renderings posted in January.

Cleveland: Duck Island: Development and News
Seems like that request would mean that Brickman finally got control of that last house on the ridge...

Does Sherwin Williams own their HQ building (Landmark Office Towers?) ? With rumors of their search for a new HQ, that would be #1 on my shopping list if I'm Gilbert. *edited - previously had called sherwin HQ MK Ferguson by mistake

I heard something about a bagel shop and yoga studio going in there.

Cleveland: Downtown: May Company Building
Shouldn't the economics on this project look much different today than a few years ago? Have to think with rising rents, occupancy and public square redo that we're getting close to feasibility without the tax credits.

Canal Basin Park and Lake Link Trail
From 2007: A development group led by Russell Berzin of Franklyn Development Co. is planning to replace a parking lot with a $50 million, 264-unit riverfront condominium complex in the Flats along Columbus Road south of the Carter Road bridge. Mr. Berzin said the four high-rise buildings in the as-yet-unnamed complex will offer one-, two- and three-bedroom units in prices tentatively set in a range comparable to those at the nearby Stonebridge development. Condominium units in Stonebridge Plaza, a just-completed condominium building, run from $153,000 to $529,000. Cleveland City Council last week approved a rezoning of the property from general industry to downtown residential. Mr. Berzin said final engineering drawings will be completed shortly, and he hopes to break ground on the first building next spring. The complex, designed by Paul Volpe of City Architecture Inc., would bring new housing construction to a section of the Flats that is predominantly parking lots and old railroad depots. Mr. Berzin said the plan is to start with a nine-story building with 55 units on seven floors over two levels of parking. The second building would be identical, while the third building would have a total of 13 floors and the fourth would have 12 floors. Canal Basin Park and Lake Link Trail
Love the idea of this park but concerned about Cleveland's tendency to build big blank spaces. Columbus road is quickly developing into a hub of recreation and I think with 20 acres there should be some space devoted to recreation facilities. This would help activate and get people down into the park in between the larger events, year round.

Did anyone attend the meeting today?

Cleveland: Downtown: Justice Center Complex Replacement
Would a new center have to be so closed off? Could you put it in the warehouse district with Retail on the ground? What about Retail and the RTA hub that was proposed?

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
I was in this furniture store recently. An employee (or owner?) there told me that they had not renewed their lease because there was a brewery coming in, but that the brewery deal had since fallen through.

Cleveland: Flats Developments (Non-Stonebridge or FEB)
Via WKYC: "Cleveland Rowing Foundation, a nonprofit corporation dedicated to promoting and supporting the sport of rowing in Greater Cleveland, has agreed to sell an additional 1.1 acres of property to the Cleveland Metroparks. In 2012, CRF and the Trust for Public Land sold 2.8 acres of land and a building to Cleveland Metroparks. The building now houses the extremely successful Merwin's Wharf restaurant. CRF also has recently purchased a parcel adjacent to the northern boundary of its current property. With this purchase, CRF now controls 1,300 feet of riverfront, which is 250 feet more than previously."

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
Per Steven Litt- Bridge to the lakefront pushed back, will not be finished before the convention. Wonder if there will be any consideration given to a bridge that incorporates a more mixed use/multimodal structure.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
Glad to see another indication of the park on east side of West 25th. I'd think the developer would eventually want to put something in between the single family residence and Massimo along 25th - the views will be too nice to be used for parking. Agree with SixthCity that the juxtaposition will be interesting with a grocery next to Linda's superette and a pool next to the shoreway. I catch the bus from this corner everyday and while it is not unsafe, there are some characters around. Hope to see some construction and demolition for the park soon.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
I can't seem to post external links, but there is a document from May 2014 (CSU, Trust for Public Land) that shows those buildings removed. Search for: IRISHTOWN GREENWAY A Strategic Plan For The Flats West Bank It's the one on CSU's website. Probably already posted here somewhere, but pretty comprehensive.
