  1. isn’t there currently a US courthouse on Public Square?
  2. That would be a great opportunity to repurpose D, in order to allow the new concourses to be rebuilt one at a time without gate loss. Hope that’s possible. I don’t see any point in keeping C. Compared to new terminals out there it’s still small, dark and narrow.

This looks like a promo pic for some PS4 game ?
  4. +1 to what @roman totale XVII said. I lived in the Statler building for ~3 years before renovations and loved it. The proximity to Heinens is a major plus, and although it sounds like you will be working downtown...getting in and out of the city is much easier by PHS (mainly when events are happening). I know the Sphere, or whatever it’s called now and Reserve Square are on the lower end of pricing (and also quality) but I’ve had quite a few friends live there with no complaints. The tenants were an interesting mix of CSU students, young professionals, immigrants and retirees.
  5. Exactly. The only effort John Boyd has ever made is to contact every news organization in existence.
  6. PEOPLE. ITS THE SAME F$&@ING GUY. In all the articles. Stop falling for it.
  7. Guess it’s time to write another strongly worded letter to my elected officials...
  8. Why the county would even begin looking at this property in any seriousness, when they haven’t actually decided to build a new building is infuriating.

Brings back memories of this article. The whole city seems to be doing just fine.

That’s the one where I can always tell the “not from here” newscasters lol.
  11. There are a lot of specialized HIgh Schools in CMSD now. Is it possible that the schools without teams are lumped into the schools with teams? I assume the kids would be able to choose to be on one of the teams that exist? Just a guess.
  12. I do agree with the travel issue, especially becuase so many students walk or take RTA to class. But below is what the district said about enrollment sizes and services investment. I can see where it would be a drain to have to maintain these massive buildings, and instead focus more money to existing programs. There are just 305 students in Collinwood High School, a building with capacity for 1,625 students, the district says. Glenville has 384 students in an 1,800-student building.
  13. Is John Boyd paying these outlets to interview him?!?! He can’t possibly be the only corporate relocation “expert” out there. Dear god ?
  14. ^ @KJP look at the power you wield!
  15. It just depends on what you’re looking for. Cocktails is a dive; cheap drinks, sometimes drag shows and an....interesting basement. I’ve driven and parked there with no issues, just be aware of your surroundings as one should always be. Hawk has sort of a dive/sports bar feel. I like Vibe (W117/Lorain). Cheap drinks but I little livelier feel than the other two. Then of course Twist, which is the most dance clubby (although not by other city standards) and popular of the gay bars in town. It’s gonna be Halloween week so I guarantee events will be happening.
  16. I just read the Crains “SHW wants better air service” article, and this same hack is quoted saying basically the same thing with no basis behind them. Sounds like he enjoys his name in the press.
  17. Okay, after realizing this is most likely Friday morning...the West Side Market Cafe is extremely close (obviously) if that’s the route you want to go. Otherwise Grumpy’s in Tremont is a favorite, as well as Lucky’s (which is a little more fancy, been on food shows).
  18. And possibly (hopefully?) attracting tech talent.
  19. Closing Prospect doesn’t bother me...I really think Huron would be able to handle the additional traffic with no issues. I’m not sure how it may affect RTA’s operations though.
  20. I think I saw those renderings yeah
  21. Chris Quinn, editor of Cle.com attacks a PD reporter in this piece. Ooooookay then.
  22. The labor market is tight everywhere. I guess I just don’t buy that the reason Sherwin would leave would be they can’t find employees right now. NO ONE can fill their open positions.
  23. Definitely don’t have to argue, the numbers speak for themselves .
  24. I have to say I don't like the new signage at all. However or whatever the signs are mounted on make it look incredibly sloppy and hard to read. Minor quibble but ??‍♂️
