I do understand wanting the “urban feel”, but is this really contributing? The building is completely facing away from W25th, and they basically created a moat between the sidewalk and metro.

Agreed, that horrible outpatient building needs to be removed. I understand the need to reevaluate plans, but leaving that building up long term is not an acceptable solution for the neighborhood.

Also, anytime I have seen a Cleveland flag flown I hear someone ask why the French flag is up. I don’t think it’s unique enough to stand out.

You’re talking in economic terms but I think @Cleburger is talking about quality of life. And the US already has such a problem with loneliness it’s been declared a public health emergency.

Using Concourse D would contradict the new master plan, unless something has changed that I’m not aware of.

The food can be hit or miss, but eating down on the river in the East Bank of the Flats is a great experience. Collision Bend is a great option (if you’re on the patio). If you’re staying downtown, Nuevo out on the E9th Street pier puts you right on the lake. And if you listen to @YABO713, Luca’s is a short walk from hingetown with fantastic views of downtown (but pricy outside of it’s amazing happy hour).

Maybe along W25th, but not at W44th. No one is going to park there to walk to Irishtown Bend.

Which block club? I find the parking garage idea completely laughable. I have never once had a problem finding street parking practically directly in front of wherever I’m trying to go in the current set up. There is not some monstrous demand for parking here.

I think the Super Bowl talk is a little bit of a distraction from which location is best for the city/region. And honestly, I feel like the City/Bibb is in a tough spot. Scroll thru this thread and it’s clear there is no consensus on which location is best. And that is before we know anything about public costs/subsidies.

ok so I started watching at the last minute and they were discussing 45 West at the time. The motion was approved (although Councilman Slife voted no). I would love to hear from @KJP or anyone else a summary of what the issues people had were, though.

So Keckan wont sell the restaurant lot unless they also buy the Cinecraft lot, because they use the restaurant parking? Even thought they are going to be building a parking garage? Make it make sense to me…

Would love to know how much they spent in personnel and equipment costs moving these over the years…

Did not realize they renamed Plum Brook Station. Almost 15 years ago I had to pick something up there related to construction work happening, and to a college kid it felt like I was on a CIA black site or something 😂

Honestly…which board should I write to, to berate them for this? I have some energy I need to get out.
