Almost like its been "Abnormally Dry" / at risk of drought for a few weeks now. Dry spells and brown grass happen some summers. With climate change large precipitation swings like this May to June/July will only increase in commonality/severity. There's also brown grass in front of $800,000 homes in manicured suburbia. This isn't isolated to Cleveland parks.

  8. Land Energy, the Cleveland EV bicycle startup, to clean up MidTown building for HQ Mary Vanac - June 22, 2022 "Land Energy, the electric vehicle and battery startup in Cleveland, confirmed on Wednesday that it plans to move its bike-making operations to the former Accurate Plating site in Cleveland's MidTown technology district. Built between 1913 and 1930, the building at 6512 Carnegie Ave., which once housed Cleveland Electric Illuminating Co. and then plating and warehouse operations, was approved for a $2.2 million brownfield remediation grant from the state last week." https://www.google.com/maps/place/6512+Carnegie+Ave,+Cleveland,+OH+44103/@41.5016784,-81.6453735,3a,75y,202.9h,89.97t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1stwO49-jLPnxxhadOFaVgjw!2e0!5s20201101T000000!7i16384!8i8192!4m5!3m4!1s0x8830fbab6e44c34b:0x3e94d341553eb8f8!8m2!3d41.5009995!4d-81.6453752

  13. The urban design features of the courtyard/streetscape seem very well designed and executed. The space feels like something I haven't seen in Cleveland yet. (5-30-22) Work on the Gehring/Abbey intersection Gehring at West 25th/Chatham

  16. Nothing that special - but I had a very nice Memorial Day at Edgewater. Riding my bike down to the beach for a swim on a hot day is one of my favorite things to do in this city. When you see such a wide cross section of the city enjoying the space too, its hard not to think "I love Cleveland." If you haven't already, come on down the next chance you get, the waters fine.

  19. Kent (4-21-22) There hasn't been much movement on the Hasawi Building in the past couple of months Portage Hike and Bike Trail - Brady's Leap segment is now open Even though this isn't the largest project, it is one of my favorite pieces of bicycle infrastructure in NE Ohio. There aren't many bicycle stairway's around right now, so it was very nice to use one that was executed and implemented effectively. The region has an impressive bike trail system, but more work needs to be done to close these "gaps" in the network.
