Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
I'll need to see if I can find the quote, but I believe when the current renovations were bring talked about the Guardians said they wanted to make Progressive Field a "new Fenway" and make it a classic park that will be around for a long time. If that's the case I dont think we'll see the same sprint to a parking lot sea in the future.

I still dont get it. If they say they'll go forward without the county's money, is that supposed to motivate the county to still give them the money? What are they trying to gain, show that they really didn't need the money and they were just beeing greedy?

Also, I'm hoping/assuming that they are actively pulling together a large parcel for the next big project right?

Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
I wonder if this includes the large strip of land that First Energy owns for the mains lines that's right in the middle of the plot or not. If not, I hope they enjoy owning a donut shaped piece of land. Reading the announcements more though, nothing sounds official.

When you say win out though that means that they won't be forced to sell the team, but that would not mean that the city/county/state would be forced to pay for what they want. I still don't see how they're going to get the public money they seek.

Now we just need the renderings of the renovated stadium to see all of the options.

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
I'm OK with holding off on HQ2. I'm just glad we aren't getting headlines like this from their Pittsburgh competition. I wish we could have gotten Glidden back. https://www.wtae.com/article/ppg-layoffs/62640789?utm_campaign=snd-autopilot&fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR08tFkRAN5iB2_lqJnBBmOnZOGYv3wa7EaDC1-DtAA7N5ovZ4HaapND3N4_aem_d-N7nD5k1OLHCJR0wu6t3Q

I would say we should look at how they invested $300M on Watson and how bad of a business decision that was. If they make that bad of a decision with their own money, how bad will they be with our money?

Cleveland: Retail News
Supposedly the Macy's at Great Northern is closing in January of next year. Oddly enough they are opening a new small format one at the old BBB spot by Crocker Park.

Per inside sources that I have at the FBI, there is beurocratic tape that is holding up moving the current FBI offices on the east side of downtown. There's a huge backlog of buildings that they have to do, and while Cleveland is on the list, it's still a couple of years away.

I was mainly talking about special events: Men's Final Four, College Football Bowl Game, Superbowl etc.

Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
If you were downtown for the Women's Final Four you saw tons of street activity and filled restraunts and stores. The fan experience was at the convention center, and everything was walkable from a ton of hotels. A stadium in Brookpark means the fan experience in the IX Center, people eating at the restaunts by the stadium instead of driving back downtown, and an overall loss for the region. I don't know how anyone who cares about Cleveland would want/be OK with this plan.

Cleveland Hopkins International Airport
With Frontier having a crew base in Cleveland now, I would think that they would want to promote the city well. I'm in Phoenix flying home and this is the picture that they use for Cleveland. How old is this??? We should send them a bunch of great pictures of our city that the could use instead.
