  1. I don't think you'd see either actually! The only unobstructed views are to the South which does seem very odd. If you rearranged the roof a bit you could have unobstructed views of downtown to the north/east which would be amazing. Really, it just begs the question of why not put the viewing deck on the 11 story building so that you could have unobstructed views of downtown and the lake. Cool views of the Gold Coast off to the West as well.
  2. I took my tour of the Edison on Tuesday and things are really coming along! Snapped a few photos of their model unit. They seem to be very busy, I think there were at least two or three other people on a tour at the same time I was. Also decided to sign a lease so I'll be moving into the neighborhood in August when the last building opens!
  3. Found it here: http://www.cleveland.com/cavs/index.ssf/2016/12/the_q_transformation.html#8
  4. That's awesome to hear! I didn't know they had partnered with the Cleveland Hustles group. That's exciting! I really liked the show, I hope they can do future series in other neighborhoods! YO to the CLE, you'll more than likely have me as a tenant in the last building opening up in August! Very excited to move into the neighborhood next year :-D
  5. The Edison has started taking reservations for apartments! I've been in touch with the leasing office and the first building should be opening up in April with hard hat tours starting in January. I'll be taking a hard hat tour and will be sure to post pictures afterwords. Has anyone had experience with the NRP Group? Do they generally do good work?
  6. So I messaged Halo Live on Facebook asking if they are still opening, and they said they were "still working on making it the best we can." Take that as you will, but I also noticed that the two events they had planned there in November were moved to the Odeon instead. I wonder what's holding them up? This is the new space opening up in the old Metropolis building. 2325 Elm Street.
  7. Yeah, rock climbing is dead at Zion, but expect something else in the near future. Any idea how soon? I love climbing but being in Westlake means the drive out to Cleveland Rock Gym is a bit further than I would like.
  8. Has anyone heard any new news about Climb Zion, a rock climbing gym that was being developed at Zion United Church of Christ, 2716 W14th Street? The only news I can find is from Feb 9, 2015 where they were hoping to be open in early 2016. http://www.freshwatercleveland.com/devnews/climbzion020915.aspx
  9. Some pictures from Magnolia's opening this past weekend. Looks pretty classy but I'll reserve full judgement until I've seen it in person. http://www.cleveland.com/entertainment/index.ssf/2016/08/first_look_magnolia_donut_shop.html#0
  10. Magnolia is a nightclub masquerading as a donut/coffee shop. They'll actually be serving donuts and coffee though
  11. Has anyone heard any info on the new club opening up in the old Metropolis/Dream space at 2325 Elm? I know it's called Halo Live and they have events on Nov 4th and Nov 18th. http://halolive.wantickets.com The only other info I can find is here: http://www.crainscleveland.com/article/20140811/BLOGS14/140819999/more-on-the-flats-and-on-lebron-and-real-estate
  12. I was at FWD last Thursday and was talking with one of the bartenders. Apparently the soft opening of Magnolia is this weekend? Has anyone heard anything more about the space or found pictures of the inside? It's supposed to be really small inside, much smaller than FWD. I snapped a couple photos of the outside omw to FWD too.
  13. I looked at some other apartments Scalish owns a while back. He takes a lot of pride in his work you can tell. I hope he starts doing more projects in Cleveland.
