  1. That's too bad. I spent a lot of time at the RollerDrome (as it was called). I remember there was a little booth in the corner that the music would be played from. My memories of the place are fading, but I thought there was a keyboard or organ in there at one point? Plus when I was a kid, I had the names of the arcade game cabinets there memorized. I even knew the order at one point! Ahhh to be young!
  2. Yeah he got two years and almost 30 million dollars. As a Scott Boras client, I'm not surprised. I will, however, be surprised if he provides the kind of value one expects for $30M over those two years. Knowing how little we spend, I'd rather spend a little differently than putting that much on a #4/5 starter.
  3. That's great to hear. I was on the California Zephyr last month and it was a full house just about the whole way. Beautiful scenery too and the perfect time of year to do it.
  4. Mob mentality has been crappy for a long time
  5. And what happened to Kwan? He fell off a cliff it seems.
  6. I'm fairly exclusive to AA, and the frequency of flights is similar, but they have been flying some larger aircraft on routes that used to only get regionals. (PHL and ORD come to mind) I also think they are making sure Frontier doesn't encroach on them too much since Frontier started CLE-PHL and CLE-DFW, though that is just speculation on my part.
  7. If his blister that he had in his last rehab start goes away, it'll be a halfway decent rental.
  8. Landmark is quite the cube farm... at least here, it looks like there are less internal spaces that aren't within view of a window. When I was there, I was in a very internal location and I walked often so I could glimpse outside from time to time.
  9. This is a great question. Curious what the typical downtown residents appetite for retail is... what stores, what volume of sales, etc.
  10. Walkable to ice cream is definitely a priority for where we may move to. Right now we are in the outer suburbs and not walkable to anything. Also about to become empty nesters, so we are looking to downsize and be in a more walkable and bikable location.
  11. Just a different kind of scenic! Just like the towpath.
  12. This is fantastic! It will make for a nice urban loop with minimal street riding.
  13. I believe so... I knew I could get an answer!
  14. What's that large building that you can see from I-90 that's missing a bunch of windows? Looks like it's being worked on right now? Going away from the lake after Dead Man's Curve, it would be on the right... I think it's on Superior? I know I should know this, but I don't and I know you guys will!
  15. Likely a reaction to Frontier entering the market for this route. I flew this route prior to the pandemic, and they used to have it on an Airbus 319, so this represents a capacity increase as well.
  16. Having been in the Landmark tower buildings many times, I am curious about what the scope of a residential conversion in there might look like, given the current layout, elevator set-up, etc. It would be interesting to see how it would be approached. Plus, there are some very very interesting spaces (and materials used) that would be interesting to see if they could keep.

I will say though that backflip was impressive.
  18. This is actually a place we are considering depending on if my wife's company starts a satellite office down there. Looks pretty cool!
  19. I feel like this is going to be fought somewhat by the airlines.
  20. Not sure what event there might be, but this is not the norm. I don't remember this many people ever seeking a rental car from the airport at any point. But this isn't any different from more than a couple times that I've been at DFW airport waiting for a rental bus.
  21. Not this time. 162-0 this year, with a +300 run differential!
  22. OK, now that we're 2-0, my optimism says we are going to the World Series this year.
  23. I'm just as excited as I always am, but I've always been an eternal optimist about the team. I do think there are going to be some fun times this season, and I didn't get to go to as many games in person last year for various reasons, so I'm looking forward to the ballpark experience again. Just not until May... I still think April is usually too cold for the games here.
  24. Absolutely in agreement on this. I'm curious how repaving/repair projects are prioritized. Long long ago, I had a summer job with Euclid Department of Streets and Sewers and wondered the same thing then, as I was helping put in cold patch.
  25. I can't say I'm surprised by this. Will this kill any additional merger talk among the ULCCs?
