  1. Agreed. I'm still surprised American Airlines is only seasonal on this route. I'll be connecting through PHX from CLE on the way to California in a couple months... seems like it's also a logical connector to the West Coast, especially if you're on AA and want an alternative to DFW.
  2. I'm not sure, but both routes are bookable at least through Memorial Day of this year. Perhaps they are waiting to see how they do before extending them any further. Both are on the 737MAX8.
  3. Looks like UA is bringing Vegas and Phoenix back as destinations. No new routes, but it will be nice to have UA back on these routes. Cleveland is definitely maintaining itself as a United "focus city."
  4. It's too bad they couldn't find a way to relocate those. I always thought they were pretty cool.
  5. OOhhhh, you've got style!!!!
  6. I can't wait to see these when they're all lit up and a bunch of shows are going on!
  7. York Steak House!!! Now there's a blast from the past.
  8. I would imagine some of their costs might be lower at CVG then at other airports. I would imagine fixed costs in CLE are lower than in IAD or ORD, not to mention their maintenance staff in CLE have won quality awards as well.
  9. With crew bases, do the crew members use temporary housing? Or is it more likely that crew domiciling here purchase homes? I profess, I know nothing of how that all works.
  10. It's a fairly smooth process the last time I went. The only big problem I have with it is the time you have to catch the train. I wanted to go to Bloomington/Normal, IL but I can't leave the car for 9 days, and nobody wants to drop me off at 3:30 AM! 😆
  11. THIS. Those tray tables are darn near unusable, especially if you've brought your own food to eat. There's barely enough space to unwrap a sandwich!
  12. It's not too bad for shorter flights. The Orlando flights are doable, though there is some back cracking needed at the end. I wouldn't want to be on either of the California flights though. 4+ hours is a bit too much for those seats, even for a shorty like me.
  13. This is a great move in my opinion. Seems similar to the Kipnis extension, though Giminez is younger than Kip was during his extension. I know they are working on getting something finalized with Trevor Stephan, and I hope Kwan is next. I think he's worth tying up for a few years, though he is early on in his career and it'll be a while before he starts getting really expensive. It may be worth the risk to control the cost now. Heh, I could never be a GM. Lots of moving parts!
  14. I think you are correct. I expect the same for CLE as well. I hope we are both wrong.
  15. It's for both.
  16. It's a shame, but you hit the nail on the head here. What happens to any of their stock that hasn't been sent to retail?
  17. Are there any apartment layouts for this building yet? A cursory Google search has not revealed any.
  18. I was there Saturday afternoon - it was sunny but brisk and there were quite a lot of people walking around. Plus, Gypsy Beans was getting a good amount of traffic in and out. Side note, they have some great specialty coffees if that's something you dig!

This is the best expression I've heard in a long time. I would like to steal it for my own use.
  20. Wow, this angle shows how truly large of a footprint this site has!
  21. I'm glad the fans and the staff didn't give up on him while he was slumping after his electric start. He proved to be very resilient and consistent! Plus, he looks like he's having a good time out there, which I love to see.
  22. The rooftop greenspace next to the Farrell Building tower is quite impressive. I'd love to see something like that here; would our local climate prevent any of that?
  23. Quite some time ago, I believe this very thing was suggested - they wanted to acquire the old Greyhound station and retain it's outer architecture for it. But at that time, the multi-modal center near the stadium was still a possibility.
  24. I remember a while back it was mentioned that the powers that be at Playhouse Square were interested in having a dedicated movie theater in the district... something upscale that I would imagine would also have a good slate of arthouse films. I wonder if that is still on the table and something that will figure in the new leader's calculus.
  25. It's so nice to see - especially from such a young team. It almost seems like just about everybody is making a contribution. Even Myles Straw with the horrible year he is having at the plate is still contributing on the defense side. If Oscar Gonzalez can stay hot on offense, that will help ease the blow of Straw's weakness at the plate. Also it was great to see Civale have a halfway decent outing. Getting him back on track will be nice. If he falters, there are some great options in the farm system that are probably ready for prime time too!
