If the tower is tall enough to require caissons, I wonder if there would be any cost savings to be had by building at river level (80 feet lower than Public Square), and if so, how significant they might be.
Just fyi, patent term in the US has been 20 years from filing since 1995 (barring any patent term adjustments or extension).
Not even then. Remember, Ohio City, Inc. was interested in building a streetcar line down Detroit Avenue, but RTA wasn't willing to operate it.
