Cleveland: Downtown: Wendy Park
^dont over think it. They won't open til mid may...more than two months away. That place was a cash cow for them...they won't abandon it.

Cleveland: Retail News
I can honestly say I'm shocked it's going there...unless they really reconfigure that plaza, it's going to be a nightmare to get in and out of there. How does 37000 sqft compare to the cedar rd store? This one better have a BBQ island and a growler fill station!

Cleveland: Retail News
The fit works is not closed...there is an old medic drug store in that plaza that is vacant, but there is 0 percent chance that a wf would go there. It would be so out of place and such a cluster-f that it would never happen. The only place in rocky river that I could see would be the old target in the rockport shopping center on center ridge. I'm guessing that the old columbia Reni regos/tops is the most likely spot. Other spots it could be, but probably won't: the old giant eagle at bunts and Detroit in Lakewood; the old giant eagle at Clifton and 117th in edgewater.

From Hodge's Facebook: Hodge Podge Truck "Hodge's" restaurant will be located in downtown Cleveland, very excited to be a part of the heart of the city.... and dont worry we have our own parking ;) no need to pay. Doesn't the old Verve/Juniper Grill space have their own parking lot?

@mjarboe just tweeted "OH preservation office: Thumbs-down on casino skywalk. Forest City may lose historic tax credits if casino developers build Higbee bridge."

^^saywer never "owned and sold" bar cento. He and Sam mcnulty were partners on it...and I'm not even sure if sawyer ever had an ownership stake, maybe just exec chef. Just returned from a private happy hour at MGB, and the food they provided was unbelievable. I don't doubt that they are having their growing pains with service and execution, but the food they put out tonight, on a buffet no less, was awesome.

Westlake: Crocker Park
^^I disagree about crocker compared to legacy and eton. Legacy and eton just have massive surface lots surrounding them. Crocker at least has garages strategically placed around the development

http://www.crainscleveland.com/article/20110725/BLOGS02/110729904 Mitchells ice cream is looking for a large kitchen space In ohc, tremont, Gordon sq and other cle neighborhoods. Sounds like it will be an open kitchen production facility/retail store, though the article is vague about that.

We had dinner at Jammy Buggar's, which took over the Niko's/Route 6 space in Lakewood. Really liked it. Nice menu with lots of things that looked good and fairly priced. Good draft list. Good service. I think/hope this one might actually stick! http://jammybuggars.com/

Couple openings in the Kamms plaza: Pizza BOGO is replacing Georgios. I've never been to the CH one...any good? Peace, Love and Little Donuts is going to be going into the new storefront by Sherwin Williams. Appears to be a Pittsburg local chain and the closest thing to Voodoo donuts we'll have in CLE. Also heard a rumor that A Cookie and A Cupcake are opening a location on prospect? twitter rumor, but someone said they saw a sign in a storefront. anyone else see this?

Is this thing a new brewery? Or an existing brewery that is relocating?

Cleveland: Tremont: Development and News
I was in Lincoln park today and remembered something I've been wondering. What is the building directly west of Civilization, with the porthole windows? The front doors make me think that it's some sort of ballroom or something like that. I just wonder what kind of redevelopment possibilities there are for it. Looks like a cool building.

I'll be in the 1pm heat as well. Camping with a group of about 60. I think the logistics of everything will be the hardest part

Cleveland Area: American Greetings HQ relocation?
I have not been out to CP in a long while now, but I remember that compared to Legacy Village it felt even less "real". I think this could make CP more viable and possibly make that development more attractive. Maybe it will make Stark so much money he can develop those PS parking lots :drunk:  :drunk: how could it possibly feel less real than legacy? CP actually has office and residential over retail and uses mostly parking garages. Legacy is an outdoor mall with gigantic parking lots

Orchid's place was actually in the 56 West space. His food was good, but that place was so slooooooow, hour+ to get your food. It was funny, I saw him on that show Chopped. And in both rounds that he participated in, he ran out of time and did not finish his dish. It made me laugh.

But at least I've heard that the space is already spoken for (and thats probably why Niko closed...he wasn't in it for the long haul, just looking for another tenant). A friend of mine did some design work for the place that is moving in. I don't remember the name or much about it. I think its burgers. Well, here we go. Maybe its not burgers... http://www.cleveland.com/sunpostherald/index.ssf/2011/05/jammy_buggers_eatery_will_open.html

Cleveland: Random Development and News
^I know, it doesn't say. there is no interview, its just a list of his (and other clevelanders) favorite things, and it has a blurb saying that. I hope someone has more info. I think it should be a permanent event space. I would love to see mini Ingenuity Fests every weekend during the summer.

Cleveland: Random Development and News
Don't know if this was posted anywhere, but I wasn't sure which topic would be most appropriate. I don't have a link, but in the newest edition of Cleveland Magazine, James Levin is featured and there is a blurb where he says he is working on a project to develop the Detroit-Superior bridge, streetcar level, permanently!

Looks like its called Barroco Grill. Seems like they are near opening, though they don't give a date. I like their logo and print ads....they are well done. Very excited to check it out and try the food. http://www.facebook.com/Barrocogrill
