  1. It will probably affect the Einstien's that is right next door more than Phoenix.
  2. Get a haircut, you damn hippy!
  3. Yeah, summer always bring some new opportunities. I'm applying for stuff on the islands. I was trying to decide what I'd do if I were you and if really looks like there is no way you'll get a real job in the near future, I would just punt and live the dream this summer. Hilton Head, Jersey shore, PIB...get a job at a bar, rent a place with 4 other kids, party it up for one last summer and then try again for a full-time job in the fall.
  4. Crain's sheds a little more light on the Cleveland location: http://www.crainscleveland.com/article/20090311/FREE/903119960 Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert part of Ohio casino initiative By JAY MILLER 11:27 am, March 11, 2009
  5. ^ Have you looked at some of the more seasonal places that should be hiring soon? Cedar Point or a local waterslide park? Garden Centers? Lawn Care companies?
  6. ^ I think RnR got her mid-sized OH cities mixed up.
  7. ^Yeah, that doesn't really make sense. "Between Quicken Loans Arena and Tower City and includes part of the old Higbee's Building"? Either its completely in Tower City (the only way to include "part" of the Higbee's building) or maybe they meant the old May Company building, which makes more sense to me. I work in that building and those massive, windowless floors would work well as a casino. And the "part of" makes sense because Caddy Ranch takes up part of it already.
  8. ^They posted that its going to be duck fat frites on St. Patrick's Day.
  9. Liggett Stashower moving from Halle Building Advertising and public relations firm Liggett Stashower has a new lease and naming rights at a building on PlayhouseSquare. The company plans to move its headquarters in July to the first three floors of a five-story building at 1240 Huron Road. 10. I just steal napkins from Chipotle (plastic silverware too). Every time I'm there, I just grab a 6 inch stack of napkins and put it in my bag, along about 10 forks and 10 knives.
  11. I think that most people who move away by choice will always say that they like their new city better because if they don't then they'd have to admit they made a mistake.
  12. Whenever I meet another Clevelander (or any other midwesterner for that matter) here in NYC, I have to feel them out to see where they fall on the spectrum between (1) I am living here but still love/respect Cleveland and (2) thank god I got the f%^* out of that place and found civilization here. The people towards the (2) extreme usually know very little about Cleveland are essentially comparing Brunswick to the East Village in their head which is, needless to say, incredibly infuriating. This drives me crazy. One of my HS friends moved to Chicago last year. When you talk to him now, he's always talking about how great his new neighborhood (Lincoln Park) is compared to where he lived in NEO before he moved (and therefor how much better Chicago is than Cleveland). I want to scream "Of course it is, you lived in a cluster home off of Bagley Rd west of Berea!"
  13. ^Don't worry RnR, I don't think he was talking about Middleburg Hts.
  14. I wrote her an email this morning and got the exact same response, word for word.
  15. Unlikely in Tampa Bay. We only play them every couple years. The success of this trade depends on K2's health for the rest of his career. If Man-Kok feel he's going to decline physically the next few years, then its probably a good time to trade him. Hopefully we got a 2.
  16. I live in southwest Lakewood and grew up in northern Medina County. I can get to my parents house, door to door, in exactly 30 min and both of us live pretty close to I-71. So, If you're working in Brunswick or Hinckley, then your commute from Lakewood would be about 30. If you're working in Medina city or Wadsworth, it might be more like 40.

I gave up on the 2012 book I was reading. I'm on to The Watchmen. Trying to finish it before the movie comes out.
  18. Um, how about nowhere?

That trade was canceled because Chandler had a bum toe. Joe Smith is still on OKC, so he might get bought out. Unfortunately, the rumor is he would sign with BOS. Supposedly Mikki Moore might also get bought out from SAC and the rumor is that he also will sign with BOS. I'm assuming that BOS will only sign one of them and we might get the other.
  20. And we'd need the hard numbers for Nov, Dec, and Jan 08/09 instead of just percentage increases from the previous year.
  21. It looks like something from the Cedar Point midway. No thanks.
  22. Sorry to jump in here, but I can help answer. I have 2004 ridership data for each RTA route, courtesy of RTA's Bus Route Performance 2004 report. In it, the report shows the #6 had 2,941,560 boardings for the year. It was RTA's second-busiest bus route, trailing the #326's 3,442,131 boardings in 2004. KJP, Thanks for the info, but that doesn't really answer my question. JMasek's article only gave a percentage increase from individual months last year to this year, so we can't really compare that to number of rides for all of 2004.
  23. JMasek, Can you comment or provide figures for the increase in ridership of the Healthline over the #6 the last year before the Euclid Corridor construction began? I would assume that the construction caused the $6 ridership to decrease, so comparing January 2009 to January 2008 doesn't really give us the true value of the Healthline. How about January 2009 compared to January 2005?
