How many places with the word "Social" in the name can we take?

From that picture I'm wondering the same thing about Key Tower.

That second one from Lakewood Park is the money shot. First one I’ve seen with the big 4 lined up that way.

Well, now we'll have TWO Wolstein Centers.

Nice photos, and it does look great! I remember when Gucci was at Tower City back in the day (not that I ever shopped there). But I'll just go ahead and say it: We have a way better skyline.

@Boomerang_Brian per the Cleveland.com article upthread, the STJ transit center is on CSU owned land leased by RTA.

@Rustbelter in the renderings released earlier this year (not sure how far back in this thread, sorry) if you zoom in on the area where the mall is, you can get a feel for it. They didn't specifically show inside, but for purposes of the master plan they showed the whole mall covered in some kind of crazy timber looking structure, continuing toward the river on the parking lot that sits outside of where the mall ends today. My point is, if it's anything at all like what they illustrated and described, it's going to be a major renovation well beyond the cosmetic, almost certainly requiring existing tenants to vacate during construction.

From what I’ve seen in the renderings, I think Bedrock is planning a radical reimagining of the mall, to the point that it’ll bear little resemblance to what it is today. I mean, my gosh, the plan is to completely remove the second level! They signed all these short term tenants just to have a reason to keep the place open, knowing that when major construction begins, it’ll probably have to be completely closed and gutted to remove that level. With all the new residential, green space, etc. planned I’m sure they’ll have market studies to support a specific vision for the type of retail likely to succeed there. Bottom line, I don’t think it’s fair to judge them based on the current band-aid state, when the long term plan is much more comprehensive.

I didn’t see anything in the write-ups or video to indicate that the roof is retractable. That's kind of a miss. At least having the option for open air games during the warmer months would have been nice.

No mention of the W hotel in that article? Did they drop that part of the project?

I wonder if they've come up with a solution for all the heavy truck through traffic on Huron. There was talk earlier of limited options for alternate routes. That wouldn't seem to fit well with their vision for a slimmed-down Huron with enhanced bike and pedestrian access.

It's been a long time since I've been in the hall, but don't they have a large record store in there? Doubtful they'd want to cannibalize that business.

It won’t matter as long as the value of the franchise increases over time. Haslam (or his heirs) will make out just fine when they’re ready to sell the franchise in the future.

Conversely, on the Channel 3 WKYC Studios CSU Cam, you can only see a tiny sliver of SHW showing behind 200 PS.

It’s better than I thought at first, but not as good as it could’ve been.

Was considering booking a hotel room downtown on June 15th for The Rolling Stones concert. Surprised to see everything in the Marriott app is sold out that night. Does that happen often with major events? I didn’t check other brands due to loyalty status, but I guess it speaks to always having room for one more hotel in the development pipeline.

@KJP is that 100k square feet total occupied by Cliffs or 100k new square footage?

Interesting exercise on many levels: 1) - Why are both Ameritrust and SHW completed BEFORE Key Tower? 2) - What did SHW do with the shack since Ameritrust is already there? 3) - Where on earth will all the Ameritrust/ Hyatt visitors park since SHW built on the site of their proposed garage? 4) - That business at the top of Ameritrust looks gimmicky and kind of dated in hindsight. Dare I say I’m glad it didn’t get built?

Is this area really called the Market District? I haven’t heard that before, and my mind keeps wandering to the grocery stores of that name owned by Giant Eagle.

Can’t wait to see what they propose. It’s a great site, and a hotel seems like a slam dunk. Hopefully Harbor Bay still has interest and boots on the ground locally to move ahead with the Intro phase 2 site before too long.
