  1. Hey everyone, wanted to make a post to say I've completed my move this week to Ohio City and am officially A RESIDENT OF THE CITY OF CLEVELAND!!! 🥲🥳🎉🎉 So happy and excited to finally join in on all the action!
  2. Casey Weinstein tweeted it and I thought it would look great as the r/cleveland banner, but idk if the mods there pay attention. Seems to be from PBS
  3. I borrowed your pic for a quickie, @MayDay 🙃
  4. Feel free to share it around, I’m not the most adept at twitter! You can credit me by my UO username if you like. I think the new tower best impacts the views from Wendy Park, Settlers Landing, and the Tremont script sign. Edgewater’s view mainly benefits from the at-times dark monolith of 200 PS being blocked by a reflective glass facade. Should make for some fantastic sunset shots!
  5. Quick screen grab from google earth, unfortunately when I zoom out to get the perspective right the models become a bit choppy. I also included the perspective one gets from the Edgewater script sign. (oops I had my old nuCLEus model on)
  6. Seems they updated the schematic submission presentation on their website with some more details and new model views..
  7. I keep thinking about how the SHW tower will block the light for Michael Collier's Euclid Ave sunset pics...
  8. Haha yeah that's me!! I'm working on the 3D view rn. Always bummed by how much detail gets lost when I scale down the drawings for the site.
  9. I wish they’d make it more angular, like the Bank of America Tower in NYC.
  10. Now I’m starting to picture something like Foster + Partners 2 WTC design..

What about the Cleveland Willows? Makes reference to being the forest city and would prop up a Cleveland landmark that highlights the beauty of our lake and beachfront. Would be pretty easy to shout too... Personally, I do like Cleveland Spiders, i think it’s bad**s and the throwback is cool and tangible. I’d be down for Guardians, but Cleveland SC already uses them for branding and it’d be cool for them to make it to MLS (gotta dream big) without changing that. I think some of the younger fans may like the name too with the popularity of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, I think it conjures more of superhero image now. Honestly not into the Municipals (srry). I think to people not willing to look into the history the teams gonna sound like the Cleveland Civilians or Cleveland Councilors or something.
  12. Haven’t seen this before...
  13. oops hold on I shoulda just thrown it in there after Something kinda like this
  14. I don't mean to stir the pot, but this recent post on PC's instagram has me intrigued (couldn't figure how to embed it unfortunately). Consider how both buildings are positioned, their heights, and location of each's setbacks along what would be Superior. I think it fits with KJP's sources' description as well, if you imagine Four World Trade Center. The post is about one of their associates leading a discussion on "Transportation Hubs and Mixed-Use Solutions as a Strategy for a Polycentric City", and this project IS next to Tower City station, could include a hotel, and in a city with a "second downtown". To get even more investigative... there is also a paint product made by an Ohio based company (Liquitex) in the shot... https://www.instagram.com/p/CIlrMYrs0Uf/ edit: wanted to mention, it doesn't match any existing work shown on their website, unless I've missed it
  15. Could always be leaked early... 🤞
  16. Found this reimagining of Terminal Tower done by Angie's List on ArchDaily. https://www.archdaily.com/906896/iconic-american-buildings-re-envisioned-in-the-gothic-revival-style
  17. Here is 1180 Peachtree, just 1 foot shorter than 200 Public Square, on the Jacobs lot. I realize now I shouldn't have left the mini OKC but c'est la vie.
  18. Glad you guys like them, I'll try to put a 650' tower there by tonight. My biggest takeaways were focused on how the lot interacts with the Big 3 in eliminating the gaps that start about 300' up, while also hoping it doesn't completely block one of them from key angles. That's why I'm incredibly pleased with the Edgewater Beach CLE script sign view. Additionally, it's always bothered me how popular the view from the old viaduct is, whether it's an establishing shot on ESPN or in someones twitter banner, as it hides the height and density of E. 9th. This tower helps tremendously in pulling the downtown core towards that view (I also hope you noticed my snap is hovering over where The Viaduct should rise). When looking at the shots above, a 600'-700' tower would rise above the start of the tapering, but below the top inverted triangles. I gotta say, even though the occupiable floors might not stretch the building as high as shown there, it just feels right to have this building relate directly to Key's stature, and an impressive crown would be perfect for that. Pickard Chilton's 1180 Peachtree in Atlanta utilizes a 120' crown JUST to get it to 657', so I'm hopeful we'll see something similar.
  19. I put some snaps of Devon Energy Center on Public Square in the Random Visualizations and Massings thread in relation to today's conversation.
  20. The SHW HQ thread has been discussing the Devon Energy Center in Oklahoma City recently, so I decided to throw it on the Jacobs lot as well as a shortened version across the street. My Hilton model went missing unfortunately but I'm learning to cope. Very happy to see 200 PS peaking out from behind when viewed from Edgewater.
  21. Should I post these snaps in the Visualizations thread or here as they relate to the last page or so of conversation?
  22. I made a quick model of the Devon Energy Center last night and threw it into google earth. Put a mini one beside it as well. I’ll post some screenshots when I get off work in a couple hours if people would like.
  23. Thank you, much appreciated!!
