love the photo! If the shack was just a few more floors taller it would be MUCH better.

I just wanna point out that I called the facade on this would probably be done before Skyline 😂

So it's weird... I just looked at a photo on here from October and those pieces are not in there but everything else is.

Maybe the last couple days they got them installed? Looking forward to seeing the pics from tonight's illuminate event.

I just thought those were larger mullions to to emphasize the crown, but hopefully I'm wrong!

Hmm I did but only saw photos of the name being installed. Nothing where you can distinctly see the strips being installed. I think the strips are thicker to make the crown stand out a bit more.

The crown renderings I've seen where it's lit can change color.

You saw them on here? I'll have to look back and see if I can find them. I assume it was after they installed the name?

oooh yeah I did notice those. However, that red one has been there for a while, so I just figured it was an exit sign or something. If that red and blue is part of the vertical lighting it seems so underwhelming. Especially the blue.

Okay good! haha I guess just since all the renderings on their website didn't have it I figured they had changed it.

Looks nice, but I still have this looming feeling that we will not get a lit crown. Fingers crossed I'm wrong.

By the looks of the rendering it seems like they'll probably put another layer of a material over the concrete form. At least I hope...

Yeah there is no way we get multiple, and chances are slim we ever get one. In the last 20 years only three cold weather cities hosted a SB. So I wouldn't say it'd be impossible to get one, but we will never get multiple.

Oh I didn't realize that was witnessed. Are there photos on here? I don't remember seeing that.

Is the crown being lit even still a thing? I know we have seen renderings, but on SW's website all they're showing is single strip of lights running up building.

So so happy to see Quaker Square get some love. It was certainly a highlight of mine as a kid. We had a lot of family up for the holidays and they always stayed there. It was so fun to visit. If memory serves me right, it also had a second floor pool? Maybe that was taken out when the university owned it though.

So one thing I noticed from a previous post...do those townhomes only have front facing windows? other than the end units? I feel like that would be so depressing...

I'm excited for it as well. It would give the building so much life at night. It currently looks like a massive, eerie fortress in the evenings. I know they received approval with the lighting addition, but are they obligated to do it? I ask because SW first design of the tower didn't have the lights and a little part of me is afraid that they're going to be conservative and boring and not do it.

Hoping it's good news about HQ tower 2, and not "Sherwin Williams to start surfacing northwest parking lots starting next month". 🤣
