  1. Polly just reviewed Panera Bread in the Enquirer. Polly's new fave: Brace yourself, it's Panera http://cin.ci/2cYJ9bZ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. This bothers me too. If we put a carbon copy of the good restaurants out in the suburbs what's the point of them coming down to the city and spending money? Or, what's special about someone visiting from Indy or CBus if we have all the same places to eat?
  3. Fair enough. I think having a stop at the bottom of the old Price Hill Incline for real transportation (either climbing the hill or tunnel or whatever) so tourists can get off. Then there could be a sightseeing funicular (even a reproduction of the old incline with an old car on board) for tourists to ride up and down. Something like that could really help the incline district. But obviously this will never happen for many reasons.
  4. Hypothetically speaking, how crazy would it be to have an incline again?
  5. The other major traffic difference will be those heading to the hospitals from Kentucky. Right now there is a ridiculously long line of traffic every morning from Reading Road at 71 to Burnet up to the hospitals. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. It would also be good to see it connect to the Zoo somehow. Maybe it can loop UCMC/CCHMC/VAMC super block and pass by the Zoo that way (turning onto Erkenbrecher).
  7. I understand the the AC can struggle, but this was it flat out not working. It was hotter inside the streetcar than outside and everyone was dripping in sweat. In NY this would be the "empty car" that everyone avoids. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Riding the streetcar again today and this is the second time the AC has been busted. It's 90 degrees in here. Has anyone heard anything about the HVAC systems not working? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  10. Are we sure they are running 4 today? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I was able to take the streetcar back home successfully from the 12th and Race stop. This was around 8:30-8:45pm (Wednesday) and most seats were full with a good number standing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Actually there wasn't one 15 mins away. I walked the streetcar track to Washington Park at a normal pace. Got a beer. Drank about half my beer and then a streetcar showed up maybe around 7:55pm at Washington Park. Having two running in the evening is not enough. It was highly frustrating since I love this damned thing and want it to work. I used google maps, timed it out (supposed to arrive at 7:18) and got there at 7:17 to be let down. I wanted to use my token and support late hours Findlay. All of that stopped since the timing is all off. Without having a reliable system my plans were shot. So now I'm in Washington park after walking here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Just walked to the 4th and Main stop (7:18pm). Wait time according to the status board is 28 mins. Wanted to head to the Findlay Beer Garten to support it, but I might as well not use the streetcar. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I thought since we had 5 cars it would be 4 during peak and 3 all other times. This is crazy. Only 2 on the weekends? It's going to have to change Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Check out this article from The Cincinnati Enquirer: SORTA to city: We need extra $20K for streetcars during Oktoberfest http://cin.ci/2clymbO What is going on? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I have found that using the google maps app when getting ready to head out works very well. Gives me an idea of when I should leave to reach the streetcar in time to have a very short wait. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. The real-time website has not worked for me. The website will say that a streetcar should be passing and there's nothing there or vice versa. In addition, using it on a phone is highly frustrating. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  19. ^it was hilarious listening to the suburbanites arguing with each other where they were in the city. On another note, Derek Bauman has a FB Live video talking about the bomb threat. They have cleared 4/5 vehicles so far. This is why we can't have nice things Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I saw on Reddit someone reporting a "medical emergency" around 4:15. I took the bus circulator back from Findlay around 4:45. Not sure if that is related or not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Coming down!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Here's the College of Business ad Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. If it's going to look like NASCAR might as well go all in and embrace it. P&G can plaster a big TIDE across it to complete the look. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. It really is looking more and more like NASCAR. I'm pretty sure all these ads are temporary stickers that are placed over the normal streetcar. So someday when the city realizes public services don't need to make money, we can just go back to normal ads on the inside of the car like normal public transportation. I'm happy that we have the thing and I'm very excited to start using it, but I'm still allowed to wish it didn't look like a clown car. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I'm sorry, the ad itself is cool, but together with the Cincinnati Bell colors I think the whole streetcar looks like a mess now. Everything is clashing and too busy. I want the old streetcar look back with smaller ads. I'm sad the Cincinnati in the middle is gone too. Everything that was clean and classy about it is gone Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
