  1. And I expressed mine. I offer you this hug... Have a wonderful day.
  2. Critiquing is different from complaining. When individuals speak about how poorly, ugly or horrible of a design something is, as well as saying that "x" company should've thought about connecting with this or that- that's complaining. Critiquing is attempting to add value to that project (I'm not speaking of the individuals who do that).
  3. These boards always will have people complain about something. I still remember people complaining from the Hilton being a glass structure and not fitting in with other downtown buildings, parking garage designs, the Nucleus design, to benches. This is a hospital structure. It's not going to have storefronts and flashy lights. Most people aren't expected to hang out after hours to view shiny lights at hospitals either (nor should they). The design in fine. It's a glass structure. It could've ended up looking like the Justice Center/Courthouse downtown. No one would want that. Right?
  4. Agreed. I'm more interested in the phase two structure potentially bringing in positions from outside the region. That would be a real sign of city growth.
  5. You went all over the city for these shots. I like the one with the view of Key Tower and 200PS in the background.
  6. This is the largest structure at this location in decades. Glad to see it coming along.
  7. A donor gifted a large amount of money to the theater. It was then named after his wife.
  8. To be honest, I didn't feel like anything was wrong with the old view (even though I enjoy it even more so now). I still remember the McDonald's, Recruiting station, Little Caesers and the Mr. Hero being in UC. Go back a little further, I still remember the old health museum and the shopping center that had the donut shop, pick-n-pay and Rite Aid being in the area.
  9. Did Forest Whitaker approve his image for this developmental project??? 😄
  10. Even though I'm not a fan of this project, it would've looked better if the steps and walkway was brown and the benches, tables and chairs were brown as well. I don't know if they were going for a patio vibe or a natural view.
  11. When I was in town recently, I was thinking the exact same thing.
  12. Understood. My question was mainly about museums. If the location is repurposed as a more serviceable option is completely understandable and outside of my question. To that point we are in agreeance. Thanks
  13. For clarification, you're saying that the B&O space as a museum would generate a lot of traction but it's totally dependent upon how the surrounding land is designed as far as intentions? I ask the question because as a frequent traveler, I've never considered going to any niche museums unless I had a genuine interest in it (especially one that would be this size). I don't know what the selling point would be to entice visitors. But... to be fair, I don't know what you may consider to be "a lot" of traffic. My concern would be that if it is made into a museum, I'd hate to see it repurposed five years in.
  14. For everyone who believes that the B&O would be an added addition as a museum or some form of tourist destination, realistically speaking, how much foot traction do you think tourist would give it annually?
  15. What I believe KJP is saying, is that the project is going to move forward at some point. It all depends on the roadblocks and hurdles that the project may have to overcome. This may include altering the project or projected completion timeframes.
  16. What would you like to see done with the B&O Terminal property?
  17. I know this is an old article, but it's still a feel good story from Forbes... https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/ohio/cleveland/university-circle-cleveland/?utm_medium=social&utm_source=pinterest&utm_campaign=newsletter
  18. Has anyone actually considered the fact that this location has been empty for decades? Everyone seems to want companies to build the way that they envision. We would probably never get pass the drawing board.
  19. I agree. I've lived in Europe for over seven years of my life. A lot of European cities have the exact issues that Cleveland faces regarding sunshine. In fact a lot of the residents where I lived were deficient in vitamin D because of the lack of sunshine. The same issues plague U.S. cities such as Philadelphia and Seattle. Those cities haven't had issues aesthetically.
  20. I actually think that this thought would add color and life to the skyline. It's forward thinking and would attract attention. I believe an orange or green skyscraper would be phenomenal.
  21. Everyone complains about everything. People complain about the lack of parking, then a developer decides to make it apart of its infrastructure and people complain because it doesn't look like the Taj Mahal. Honestly, I could care less if Sherwin Williams added any parking to their HQ as long as it gets built. This is my sentiment for most of the current and future construction projects downtown.
  22. Awesome pic. Slowly but surely, the automobile abyss will be a thing of the past in downtown Cleveland. Pictures from this angle will be as well, lol.
