Agreed! Big improvement on the lighting! That top will be much more a part of the night skyline now. Can’t wait for this baby to be built!

True - but another take on The Guardians is the possible growth potential for the franchise. When you consider the response of Cleveland fans to the great teams of the 90’s and the support that Cleveland has given the Browns and Cavs - there’s reason to believe the team could become a red hot attraction once again. (I know the Indians have had a pretty impressive run under Francona - but I think not obtaining the World Series trophy in 2016 really took a toll on the fan base after so many years without a title - but that’s another story) Im their region of the country, The Guardians haven’t have a blue blood franchise to compete against in Detroit, Cincinnati or Pittsburgh for years. A pennant winning team in Cleveland could really ignite a new generation of fans throughout much of Ohio and possibly regions of PA and maybe western Indiana. And even if that premise is wishful thinking - certainly, northeast Ohio has proven its loyalty as a fan base even with teams that have been mediocre or worse. I would hope that HBSE/Bedrock might recognize the growth potential of the franchise and want to build a new baseball legacy for Cleveland. . (As well as a baseball village or exciting new real estate next to Progressive Field, of course.) And perhaps, if some of the sexier franchises become unavailable - maybe the Guardians will end up landing the bigtime owner with money that we all covet. I’ll be rooting hard for that scenario and for a boom in development around the ball park. .

The Charlotte and Cleveland skylines are very similar - especially with this clone of SW - or is it the other way around?

And I bet that those extra higher floors would be in high demand - even 2 or 3 extra floors would really create a presence.

I can’t remember a time when there were so many apartments under construction in the inner ring suburbs. And significantly sized, upscale buildings at that. Feelin really optimistic about the future of Cleveland!

Cleveland: Tremont: Development and News
Sure, Sokolowski’s was a long- time Favorite Cleveland restaurant with the decidedly hometown ambience. But everything has its time and eventually, runs its course…. At this point, this is a big win in terms of activating a parcel with a substantial building that adds residents (and though unconventional) a clear pedestrian energy. Even though the restaurant pods are not at street level, there should hopefully be excellent energy at the location - and, yes, there’s retail presence too - Excellent. To me, this is a no-brainer - it’s another solid residential development that infuses more life into an increasingly dynamic area. Let’s build this and celebrate the energy that is all through Tremont and Ohio City

Cleveland: Random Visualizations & Massings
I’ll prefer to keep it, despite its lack of aesthetic appeal! Unless you’re giving me a new 7th tallest in the city to replace it. The new SW with its million square feet in a less bulky, more vertical design would’ve easily reached TT heights, (or greater) and would’ve emerged above the JC - even at that angle, my favorite Cleveland cityscape. Come to think of it, a slimmer taller design would’ve enhanced views of downtown in a number of ways and from a number of angles, IMHO. But, as they say, it’s all good…don’t want to seem less than jacked for the new 616 foot addition.

Cleveland: Random Visualizations & Massings
Post of the week! Thanks @Geowizical! This massing, just focusing on Bridgeworks in terms of the western side of the bridge, shows how downtowns vibe and energy is going to start (finally) expanding west and will make the city look and feel bigger. Add in a new 15-16 story Intro 2 and hopefully, some substantial new developments in The Flats West Bank and the growth will be even more apparent. I’m personally still hoping that someone decides to resurrect that very sexy Viaduct residential tower. Might as well think big - it doesn’t cost more to fantasize just a little bit!

Cleveland: Random Visualizations & Massings
Would be interested to see a visualization of the new Bridgeworks from either the downtown side of the bridge looking west towards Ohio City and/or looking towards Bridgeworks, eastward, with downtown in the background. wondering if @Geowizical, @Plecoor one of our other talented rendering artists might be able to whip something up.

Cleveland: Downtown: nuCLEus
Seems like a rather quiet exit by Bob Stark with the still unresolved status of the Nucleus parcel in the balance and the company still saying "We still want to develop that land." Let's hope they do something soon - or, perhaps as @KJPreported earlier, maybe there's already a deal to sell the parcel to someone with some real pockets that not only wants to build something great - but can. Happy retirement, Mr. Stark.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Bridgeworks Development
I actually think this version is going to look great on the skyline - they’ve toned down the yellows and lime green and it should look sharp and modern. Cleveland is starting to take on a much more modern look when you think about the new taller buildings of the last 15-20 years - E&Y. SW, Lumen, Hilton - a year or so from now the city will be looking better than ever.

Cleveland: Random Development and News
Great all-in-one-place summary of everything going on with lots of detail. And it reminds you (again) of how much is going on around town. Just downtown, by the article’s count, there are 6 huge active projects. Thanks @MuRrAy HiLL

Cleveland: Detroit-Shoreway / Gordon Square Arts District: Development News
One thing I’d do to improve the design is just reorient the apartment building so that the open end faces south. Créate a shared courtyard or open space between the apartment building and the townhomes. Open the view a bit for the townhouses looking north instead of being right up against the apartment building. You could then have more apartments facing east with higher floors having a great downtown view. The apartment building isn’t really so bad - I’d create a roof deck of some kind. The townhomes - geez, they need to go back and soften/modernize them aesthetically - they don’t look warm and welcoming at all. .

Once SW starts to pop up out of the ground, anybody have a pretty good guesstimate on how fast we’ll see levels being added?- Cleveland: Random Development and News
Really happy to see new, high-floor clubs and restaurants happening downtown - seems like that’s been the kind of venue in pretty limited supply in the city . There’s a few new towers to enjoy in the cityscape in the past couple years with The Lumen, Beacon, Hilton and forthcoming SW adding to the view. I think people are going to want to partake - and I hope these establishments all do well. - Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
