  1. Good numbers for the Ohio metros. Really exciting to see the acceleration in Cincy. Let's hope that keeps up!
  2. No idea what the methodology is, but it seems really hard to believe that Lorain (no. 2) and Mansfield (no. 4) have more homeless people than Cincinnati, Columbus, Dayton, Toledo, and Akron. But maybe I am just completely misunderstanding it.
  3. Seeing that photo makes me really want to cap FWW.
  4. I actually ate at the Earl of Sandwich once. It exceeded my expectations. Plus, gotta love the name.
  5. Totally understand because the demand is clearly there, but it's amazing the sheer number of Florida destinations you can get to from CVG. If you told me that Frontier or Allegiant was going to start a direct flight to The Villages, I wouldn't be surprised.
  6. Allegiant adding a non-stop to Portland and Gulf Shores, Alabama. That will be the only non-stop to Portland. https://www.bizjournals.com/cincinnati/news/2024/11/19/allegiant-cvg-airport-flights-portland-gulf-shores.html?utm_source=st&utm_medium=en&utm_campaign=me&utm_content=CI&ana=e_CI_me&j=37532666&senddate=2024-11-19&empos=p4
  7. Actually, looking at it now, the Spokane airport seems a little more impressive. Annual passenger traffic of around 4 million or so. Based on enplanements, it's in the top 75 range, near airports like Louisville and Oklahoma City. https://www.faa.gov/sites/faa.gov/files/2024-10/cy23-commercial-service-enplanements.pdf
  8. Lots of industry experience, worked at CMH, has led an airport before. That seems good, right? Time will tell.
  9. I generally take the view that every new route is good for CVG, CMH, CLE. That said, from a personal perspective, I cannot imagine a less appealing flight than a Mardi Gras special on Spirit Airlines...probably like flying to Daytona Beach in March!
  10. It's a 9/11 conspiracy theory reference ("jet fuel can't melt steel beams"). In addition to the massive plastic/composite playset, I think the whole playground area was covered in that rubber material. Very spongy and resilient. It's a shame. That was a great playground.
  11. So they are going to be moving the aircraft to the FLL flight instead of Denver? Probably not that surprising--Denver is one of the places with a lot of options from CVG.
  12. Yes, even though it's a CRJ, that's a nice one to have the option for.
  13. Not that it really changes the analysis, but no way they are pouring $10 cocktails at a "high end" place. High teens minimum, and maybe $20.
  14. Makes you wonder if 10MM passengers is coming sooner rather than later.
  15. 11 Ohio ZIP codes made the list of top 1000. 456. 45208 (Cincinnati -- Hyde Park) 647. 45202 (Cincinnati - Downtown/Mt. Adams/OTR) 660. 45174 (Hamilton County -- Terrace Park) 762. 45243 (Hamilton County -- Indian Hill/Madeira) 839. 43054 (New Albany) 846. 44022 (Chagrin Falls) 874. 43215 (Columbus) 876. 44333 (Akron) 882. 44226 (Cincinnati -- Mount Lookout/Columbia-Tusculum) 912. 44040 (Gates Mills) 960. 44286 (Richfield)
