here's a weird statistic I found today Jason Bay of the Pittsburgh Pirates has the Most Home Runs (14) by a visiting player and the highest batting average of any player with more than 100 at bats (.374, 55 for 147) at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati.

1. Who wants to be Downtown on a blistering hot Sunday when you can be lounging on one of Greater Cleveland's many beaches? 2. I've always loved the Stokes Federal Courthouse... what a unique design! I guess it's a "love it or hate it" skyscraper! I'd take it over the multi-block streetlife-killing federal courthouse here in Pittsburgh. 3. This has got to be the most photographed residence in Cleveland... what a breathtakingly tacky monstrosity! Does the owner realize that thousands of anonymous internet denizens snicker at his/her indulgently flamboyant pseudo-mansion? 4. A Quizno's and a Qdoba next door!?!?!? :-o

Because you can buy "that much house" for a lot less in some horrible subdivision (though the quality of the construction will be vastly inferior)... plus you get around the city's pesky wage tax... plus it seems like it's been a point of pride amongst many to live as far away as possible from the city or their job... though gas prices might put that foolish notion to rest... plus you get what is perceived to be a vastly superior school district (though the schools Point Breeze feed into are rated very highly) Mapquest says it takes 13 minutes (6.4 miles) to get from Point Breeze to Downtown.

Point Breeze is a wealthy residential neighborhood in Pittsburgh's East End. It's essentially a residential extension of neighboring posh (and more well-known) Shadyside and Squirrel Hill (though it does have a somewhat distinct atmosphere). Point Breeze is also adjacent to the vast wilderness of Frick Park and the much smaller Mellon Park. Lush tree canopies hover over diverse residential styles ranging from attractive middle class homes to luxurious mansions. this secluded area is near the northern gate of Frick Park a verdant trail leading into the park the immaculately groomed lawn bowling courts parkside housing Reynolds St. canopy there is so much vegetation here... it can be hard to find the houses! Point Breeze has a tiny, but charming, business district the Point serves up Belgian fare Pino's was having tapas night... and Make Your Mark Artspace & Coffeehouse is always a delight encounter in Mellon Park one of the many Beechwood Blvd. mansions lush!

Eaton addition will mix showcase, workplace By Ron DaParma TRIBUNE-REVIEW Saturday, May 17, 2008 When Eaton Corp.'s $24 million headquarters expansion opens in Moon this August, it will be as much of a showplace for the company's energy-saving electrical products as it will be a workplace for about 850 employees. That includes about 100 employees added since the beginning of 2007, officials said. Touting its energy-saving products is one way Eaton hopes to continue growing its $8 billion (2007 revenue) electrical business, said Mike Longman, vice president of marketing and powerchain management for Eaton Electrical Group, during a tour of the Friday of the addition, which is still under construction.
