Cincinnati: A city of contradictions (Espn)
yes... the article isn't "posted" properly... the quotes under the photos (which aren't included in this post) are interspersed within the text of the post and make for a confusing read... http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/columns/story?columnist=forde_pat&id=2848689&sportCat=ncb&lpos=spotlight&lid=tab3pos1 As an outsider who has visited Cincy several times... this article seems quite impressive... it certainly goes way beyond sports... it gets to the heart of this bizarre, unique, fantastic, frustrating city... it treats the city with unflinching frankness...

Downtown Pittsburgh: evening stroll
yeah... SOME of the pics turned out really cool... but I had to throw away about half of my photos due to the difficult lighting... I had some potentially cool shots of downtown crowds, outdoor dining and streetscapes that I just had to scrap... oh well!

Wooster...
Indeed, it opened in December. They've done really well, and I don't think it's hurt business too much, since Seattle's usually gets the college crowd, and on days when appetizers aren't 1/2 at CW's, the high school crowd. I hope Cold Stone didn't hurt Scoops :(

I never made it to Freedlander's regrettably... I loved that used bookstore... and the Olde Jaol was a fun place to hang out

Wooster, Ohio
I lived in Wooster from Oct. 2005 - Dec. 2006. I had no connection to the area... and I didn't care for my job and wanted to go to grad school.... so I came back to Pennsylvania. Here is the thread in which I announced my move to Wooster lol http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php?topic=5396.0

Wooster, Ohio
Are you sure? It looks like they just have flowers sitting in the street for the festival. Notice the hay bales (or bails?) supporting them? The flowers must've been a temporary installation as that area in front of the buildings is a small parking lot. The buildings are set back from the street behind the lot. 3 quarters of the "square" are parking lots (with a chintzy gazebo) and the northwest quarter of the square doesn't exist... because that's where the courthouse is. The major north-south and east-west through routes go through the middle of this imaginary square. I assume this square was more park-like at one time... but now it's more parking-like. The flowers were (are, since they do it every year) for Woosterfest, the local Oktoberfest. ah ok... I unfortunately never made it to Woosterfest... I had to go out of town that weekend... but it looked like a big deal... I had a Wooster photo thread on here too... but unfortunately all my links are now broken :(

Wooster...
I don't care for the North End... as I always preferred Downtown... but I heard Wooster got a Starbucks? I'm sure it can't compare to Seattle's downtown.... one of the coolest coffeeshops I've ever been to.

Wooster...
I used to go to that library quite frequently... it's so convenient being right next to Buehler's market

Wooster...
wow... that new library is massive... certainly beats the old one... what is Wooster doing with the old library after the new one is complete?

I used to live right across the street from that church in your last photo... I preferred the Friendtique building when it was blue as opposed to its current cream state GO GENERALS!

Ohio: Fortune 500 Companies Updates & Discussion
This also shows that the number of Fortune 500 HQs doesn't necessarily equate to who has the most powerful economy... as Dayton... with only 1 Fortune 500 is well ahead of Toledo... which has 3 Fortune 500s.
