Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
Its a FIVE MINUTE WALK around the harbor....I know, I've timed it many times. The bridge is silly. And I'm at Voinovich Park almost every night.

I spoke to the workers and they said it was prep work for the tower crane. Just seems like an odd spot for the crane

Cleveland: Ohio City: INTRO (Market Square / Harbor Bay Development)
It will be interesting to see who gets Lululemon....Since the pop up on 29th seems to be doing well and I know they want to end up in one of the new retail spaces. Will it be Intro or Church and State??

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
Ok, from my early morning walk. Picture on left is the rendering of Fulton House... pic on right is the recently completed 2 story addition plus metal roof of a neighbor 4 houses down the street from proposed development. It was probably the inspiration for the design. But let’s keep talking about “architectural integrity “.

Canal Basin Park and Lake Link Trail
I'm guessing they cant do anything with Canal Basin till Bridgework is completed

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
So where would we like the service entrances to go? Key tower has theirs on Ontario. The Huntington Building has theirs on Superior, and Terminal Tower has theirs on Prospect. Do we all want it on Superior or West 3rd? The outrage for a building that hasn't even been revealed yet is baffling. And I believe young people care less about exposed ductwork and ping pong tables and more about good starting salaries and the opportunity to advance quickly. SW does a very good job with that. Plus, open offices are loud as hell, so thank god they are attempting to reduce the noise. Deep breaths, It might end up being a nice building that serves the company well.

The location seemed odd to me as well, but that's what the nice gentleman told me. Seems awfully close to the street

There was a tweet on this yesterday saying "Club Azteca is one of the few, if not only remaining historic landmarks representing the arrival of Mexican Immigrants in Cleveland 100 years ago" There is no way in hell that building is 100 years old lol!!!

OK, I feel like I'm KJP dropping a news bomb!! I talked to the workers doing all the utility work....They had to move the manhole and all the fiberoptics and other lines out from the sidewalk and into middle of Euclid because the TOWER CRANE pad is going to be poured in that spot!!!

Glidden didnt move to Pittsburgh. Glidden was purchased by ICI in '96. Akzo bought ICI in '08, PPG bought Akzo in '13

So they parking lot is closed today and they are drilling again. I asked when construction will start, and I got an "I have no idea" also, I tried to ask one of the workers who are working on the utility portion on Euclid, and he gave me a shoulder shrug lol

Ok, Building a new Dome would be ridiculously costly also. So if we are going to spend money, spend it where it logistically makes sense. But I'm also in the camp of "the stadium is fine"
-
Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
Exactly, The only way it works is a dome on the existing stadium. You can "connect" it to the existing convention center and Hotels and other infrastructure are already in place. A dome on the south side of the innerbelt just doesn't tie in

Cleveland: Port Authority News & Info
We bring in containers from Germany....Port to port cost was approximately an additional $600. Freight from Port to my warehouse would of been slightly less then what we pay now. Only other issue was frequency of getting a container in.
-
Cleveland: Port Authority News & Info
My company just recently looked at bringing containers into Port of Cleveland instead of NY. Its definitely more expensive, but now an option that we have while the NY ports are really backed up

This is a definite fielders choice, where a Grand slam was possible. The fact that they are going to put a glorified "lobby" on the Public Square lot blows my mind. I've been in the center of excellence many times for meetings.....This is how they are going to keep vendors and suppliers out of the main tower. I'm extremely grateful the are staying Downtown, but It feels like Cleveland is breaking even in this deal, since we are losing the R&D center (which is where most of the recent college grads start) Warrensville Hts is getting totally screwed in this, and Brecksville ends up the big winner, where they will create....wait for it.....an lifestyle center with shops and housing. unreal
