Does anyone have any idea what is going to be build along West 20th between Abbey and Smith Ct? Lots of bulldozers on that spot and a HUGE pile of dirt right now.

That parking lot has to be a target to someone......what a gateway into the city that would be. The Fenway neighborhood in Boston transformed itself with new apartments and condos around the ballpark. With those brick streets and the cemetary, it could be a really great little neighborhood

And what is the success of Downtown Heinens? They contemplated not reopening this summer.

If we count the Terminal Tower complex as 3 buildings, there are 12 buildings that sit on Public Square. THREE are tall, the other 9 are not. A 400+ foot building will look spectacular..../Its not going to be a strip mall for gods sake. I'm just hoping they wrap those garages with offices and retail

Why is Landmarks Commision even ruling on this? the Landmarks Commission is responsible for determining whether buildings, sites or historic districts are eligible for designation as landmarks. The Commission follows established criteria listed in the Landmarks Ordinance and uses the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation to review proposed changes. Through the issuance of Certificates of Appropriateness the Commission reviews building and demolition permits for Designated Cleveland Landmarks and Districts. Local Design Review Committees act as advisory committees to the Landmarks Commission within designated historic districts.
