Cleveland: Detroit-Shoreway / Gordon Square Arts District: Development News
^ It makes it confusing as well. I was at a get together this past fall going over plans for Seamus building and I guess there was a big todo about the owners not coming to the block club first. Owners were like, Yes we did. I guess it was the other club in that area. How are people supposed to keep track of all these factions. @Clefan98 We should start our own. Something to the effect of 47thBlockClub_Offical. Pro density faction.

Cleveland: Hough: Development and News
Good call. Those look pretty close to the rendering in the Hough article. It seems like a lot of the parcels on 66th fall in 25-40 foot frontage range. Hopefully we don't see too much parcel consolidation for these.

Cleveland: Hough: Development and News
Exactly. It's not necessarily about the the style (personally the garage in front is, hard stop for me) but how much land these will be taking up. That I can't tell from article. Are they going to be 2-3 lots wide? Yes, there is lots of open land in that neighborhood now but to @tykapspoint that can change quickly. Build for the future is what I say.

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
Did the city ever pass code to require parking structures be wrapped or otherwise not visible in that area? I know that was a goal when the prior vison for Weston lots was released.

I'm not exactly sure of the total count of tugs working the port and river channel but I have counted 4, all docked near Carter somewhat recently.- Great Lakes Shipping News

I wouldn't mind seeing an addition on the RH that builds a street wall along 9th.- Cleveland Development Map
As of today they almost have the wall against the existing building to the east up.- Old Cleveland maps

Can you see Church and State from within browns stadium? Probably not a question anyone really had, but here you go, apparently you can- Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
I went past the building yesterday. From Old River road you couldn't tell there was a fire whatsoever. If it was an insurance scheme that failed miserably at that game.- Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
Is the plan on that corner just for townhouses now? I could have sworn I heard, and possibly from the last time I spoke to Jim, there was going to be a mixed-use element as well.- Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
I listened in on that meeting a little today too. Agree the townhouses are bad, especially the garage entrances along 45th but was happy to hear (Kerry Freakin McCormack I think it was) say that a configuration like that is a non-starter in this neighborhood 👏- Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
From what I've seen of the 4500 Lorain replacement, it's essentially the same as what's there now along Lorain... 2 story masonry. Behind that though is 4, 3 story townhouses. Personally, I would like to see existing building rehabbed. I used to get my hair cut there. But the good news is the replacement plan isn't half bad.- Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion

My issue with using that layout (in it's entirety) is it would require a scorched earth approach. That's non-starter for me, there is just way too many lovely factories, warehouses and walkups east of downtown. Too much Cleveland would be lost. But ya we could defiantly apply some of that layout ad-hoc within the existing blocks, which are huge to begin with. We need to break the blocks up with narrow streets, 18'ish. Do this and then re-parcel (small) plots to sell off individuals or small developers to let them plug in the fine grain structures. That's how I would go about it anyways. I actually think about this stuff often, it's probably not healthy lol. All this would require a very strong progressive city plan and I just don't see it that happening anytime soon.- Cleveland: Streetscape Improvements
Like the building style? Or the layout?- Favorite Music At The Moment?
I love Kid A. I had just gotten my drivers license that year. My sister's car I would borrow only had a tape deck and this was one of the few albums I had on cassette. So maybe it's nostalgia. It's good background music. I do like a lot of their other stuff though. Tom York is really passionate about it, I can get behind that.- Cleveland: Random Development and News
Thanks @Clefan98That's frustrating. Bridge is a streetcar street, mini commercial corridor. If there is any place this type of density should be built it's here, but instead we allowed a single family to take up two parcels right across the street from this. I'm going to ask around to try to get involved.- Cleveland: Random Development and News
Are these the proposed townhomes on the southwest corner of 47th and Bridge then?- Cleveland: Downtown: Standard Building
@Pugu We were discussing how to get new build, high-rise condos downtown a while back and the idea came up for a buyer cooperative and I suggested almost exactly what your pushing for behind standard building. Maybe you can take the the lead to get the cooperative together! I'm still interested, probably more so now than I was 3 years ago.- Cleveland: Random Quick Questions
