Cleveland: Downtown: The Avenue District
^ value engineered decision i'm sure but wrapping the brick facade to that wall would have been way better, visually. Mural idea, should help.

Cleveland: Little Italy: Development and News
Not on that one I don't think. The building to the right of it does though. I have been back there before.

Cleveland: University Circle: Circle Square
I see where your coming from. Parks take a huge amount of resources/time/drive to maintain. Additional development and density in this area will hopefully justify their existence and thus the drive and $$ to keep them looking nice.

Cleveland: University Circle: Circle Square
I like that they are keeping Reserve Ct. I wish that it punched through to Chester, next to the planned office building. Also it wouldn't hurt for there to be a north/south street eventually to break up that huge block. edit: also like the park in between Fenway Manor and the new library lofts, replacing the parking lot. I think that's new, at least I hadn't seen it before

Twist Drill building has a nice rooftop view too

I just got one myself (W 40s).

Username checks out ? I agree. Skylines are nice to look at from a distance but street level is what really matters in the end.

Metro Cleveland: Road & Highway News
Is there any plan out there to rework Kinsman after the OC completion? To hopefully slow people down and make it safer?

I was waiting for a special event to use a Marble Room gift certificate and then the shutdown happened. ?

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
I think we'll see some companies back track on this eventually. I personally feel a lot of places jumped the gun going permanent full remote with no eventual flex options when its safe again. Agree with @YABO713 I don't see SW making this mistake.

Another Dumb-a$$ List / Ranking of Cities
Wasn't expecting Larder. It sure is good but I wouldn't call it most famous. https://www.insider.com/most-famous-deli-in-every-state-2019-7

Cleveland: Streetscape Improvements
ugh. I'm used to it now but It's not a good look to the new or potential residents to the city in my opinion.

Cleveland: Streetscape Improvements
Was going to mention that this is a very popular running route with the near west-siders. Didn't know it had an official name though, lol. I would like to point out that this particular plan doesn't address the biggest issue, in that there is no sidewalk on the south side of Huron.

Cleveland: Hough: Development and News
I guess we'll still have Newton Ave. but that stretch lacks any of the classic Hough apartments. btw, how unique is that style in the country, does anyone know? I haven't personally seen any concentration of them anywhere other than Hough. One or two still standing is better than none but you really lose the sense of it all. It would be like OTR with only a few Italianate left and having to imagine a whole built environment of them.

Cleveland: Hough: Development and News
Were these deemed too far gone? Looks like they were only boarded up in the past few years and all 8 of them at once. I have my doubts they needed that much work. With all the affordable housing issues going on in our country right now, these older structures are usually the way to provide that supply. How was the same structure type, south across Chester rehabbed and put back into the supply but these are cost prohibitive. The developer could have easily infilled here with new structures. There are plenty of empty parcels.

Cleveland: Ohio City: INTRO (Market Square / Harbor Bay Development)
Awesome video, thanks for sharing. Also a great visual demonstration of the lake shadow, where the clouds usually build 1-2 miles inland in the summer (the opposite of lake effect)

Astrophotography - Random Photos
Good thread idea! I'll submit a deep space object that I worked on a few years ago. M51 shot from south west cuyahoga county. I wanted to try adding more data to it from a darker location but haven't got around to it yet. This is about 20 subs at 30 seconds exposure each. it's not great quality or detail at all (there is actually a smaller galaxy above this that isn't really visible here, you can look up good images on internet though).

16' is perfect. I wish we had lot more public row that width.

Cleveland: Population Trends
I could see that. The mid 30s I know in the city tell me that quite a few of that age range have left for various places across the country. They don't want to pay NYC rent without the NYC benefits, What remains to be seen is if they go back or find that there are very livable, cheaper places off the coast and end up staying.

Cleveland: Downtown: Rockefeller Building Rehab-Additions
I like it for some reason.I like sitting at the window table right across the street. To me, it fits in from that POV. ok, ill admit the windows are pretty bad.

Nice vantage point. Also it looks like they have nets on the goals... I might have to head up there to kick the ball around. Can the public use these fields? - Cleveland: Ohio City: INTRO (Market Square / Harbor Bay Development)
