Visiting a relative at Riverside Hospital and noticed this great view of downtown Columbus at the end of a corridor.
  2. View from inside Riverside (I’m OK, just visiting a relative).
  3. You can just make out the concrete pump from Riverside Hospital (I’m OK, just visiting a relative) and the tower crane in front of the Nationwide tower.
  4. I love those corner windows!!
  5. This is the slowest demo project ever. I think it's just one guy with a hammer and stepladder working every other afternoon.
  6. ^FYI: the notes are from City staff and are sent to commissions for consideration. It’s an interpretation of the zoning for the area. The commission can follow or waive the staff recommendations. I do agree with the comment suggesting moving the CVS entry to the corner.
  7. Not technically a project, but this bond package will spur a ton of housing. How will Columbus build more housing? Ginther wants a historic $500M in bonds https://www.dispatch.com/story/news/politics/government/2025/04/16/columbus-mayor-andrew-ginther-affordable-housing-bonds-eviction-court-state-of-city/83100198007/
  8. The northern one on Capital St. still connects to Starling
  9. I'm glad the tunnels under the east tracks are being maintained. I find them to be kinda cool
  10. Come on, seriously? I don't get why you're so upset this was downsized. CMHA is not a developer, it's a public housing authority. They can't conjure up money to build your fantasy 12 story building. Per the Dispatch article: "It was originally envisioned as a 12-story, 136-unit building but was scaled down due to a change in the location’s eligibility for 4% Low Income Housing Tax Credits from the Ohio Housing Finance Agency." The rules changed after the 12 story was proposed. Nothing CMHA can do about that.
  11. ^^That's a HAWK signal and there's a lot of rigmarole to get one installed. It needs to be warranted with enough pedestrian crossings. Don't want to slow down those cars....I've seen people run this red light because they are confused - "it doesn't look like a normal light". I think this flashing beacon sign has less paperwork and is easier to implement.

I think its at 3rd and Rich. There used to be an interurban station there on both sides of 3rd. I believe it was a bus depot for a time as well. The smaller station east of 3rd. was demolished with everything else on that block to build the Greyhound Station. From ColumbusRailroads.com
  13. This right in/right out is crazy - it's a freeway off ramp with a pedestrian crossing. I wish Columbus' traffic engineers back off of these types of driveways in urban areas
  14. View from Summit at 7th

Columbus Planning had a brief history of 700 N High on their FB page. It’s now home to Sweetgreen.
  16. We have no choice but to build a subway. 😃
  17. Other than the initial construction jobs, I don' think data centers add anything to our urban fabric or tax base. Most get some sort of tax abatement. They're located on the outskirts because land costs are cheap.
  18. Kinda reminds me of 1970's era apartments but with more paving.

    E. Weber Rd. in Columbus. A little overgrown, but it's there.
  20. I think Tremont was completed about 10 years ago. It's growing in nicely.
  21. This is in addition to the Route 23 improvements between Delaware and 270 US 23 bypass plan added to transportation budget aims to ease Delaware County congestion https://www.dispatch.com/story/news/local/2025/04/07/delaware-county-traffic-could-lessen-with-bypass-and-route-23-upgrades/82791643007/
  22. Love that upper level gym with the windows!
  23. Work has begun on the school / urgent care.
