Grandview Heights: Developments and News
^That doesn't look like a city hall. It looks like the front office of a light manufacturing concern. Or a plumbing equipment distributer.

Hilliard: Developments and News
A few parcels are being annexed to Columbus from Norwich Twp. Local residents oppose (of course they do) what may become affordable housing with commercial. At the twp. trustee hearing earlier this year Hilliard City Councilman Les Carrier referred to the project as “peasant housing.” Classic NIMBY. https://cms5.revize.com/revize/norwichtwpoh/Minutes 23-03-24SP.pdf

Weird seeing 70/71 without any traffic.- Bellefontaine / Logan County: Development and News
I suppose so. Columbus is, after all, located on the outskirts of the Dayton region.- Columbus: Zoning Discussion
Those three quoted in the article are, in my view, outliers. As a Clintonville resident, I and my circle of friends think High St is a dump and needs redevelopment. Judy Minster wants to sell houses. Simbro seems like a crank. Joe Motil is generally against developments that receive tax abatements (I'm somewhat in agreement) but a more streamlined zoning process without parking minimums based on the 1960s might have incentivized denser developments without being derailed by a handful of residents. My recollection is that Motil (when he was an area commissioner) did vote in favor of the Weber and High project pictured in the article. Funny they featured that project, I thought it was dead.- Bellefontaine / Logan County: Development and News
Bellefontaine is on the outskirts of the Dayton region?? It's actually in the Columbus CSA.- Columbus: Downtown: The Madison / 100 North High
Probably to make the parking garage work. Architects on this board can correct me, but you need two exits from a garage x' from each parking space per fire code and that pushes the elevators and egress stairs to the edges. It seems the garage could ramp up from the rear creating retail spaces out front. OF course, to avoid this, don't build a garage....at some point this might be a reality but I don't see that happening for years.- Columbus: OSU / University Area Developments and News

Maybe in 2025, not this February.- Ohio Marijuana News
DeWine's against it: https://ohiocapitaljournal.com/2023/08/22/ohio-republicans-split-on-marijuana-legalization-and-could-repeal-proposal-the-day-after-it-passes/- John Glenn Columbus International Airport
It's a huge project. Projects are usually designed and documented in phases: 30%, 60%, 90% and then the bid set. Sometimes these phases are called SD/DD/CD (Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Documents). There are probably a ton of engineers involved too - civil, structural, electrical and so forth. Specialty designers for baggage handling and jetways. There's just a ton of stuff to design. This isn't a Sheetz.....- Columbus: OSU / University Area Developments and News

I think the spread will be even larger if the recreational marijuana legalization initiative is on the ballot. The anti-abortion folks will be motivated to vote no matter what. If legalization is on the ballot, I think that will bring new people to the polls, and my sense is that those voters will also vote yes on abortion.- John Glenn Columbus International Airport
