That looks like it will fill in the space between Chipotle and Kilbourne St. That was what was planned as a second phase early on when the Chipotle building was announced.

Man, this sucks. The nod to the row houses in the façade on the north end of the west elevation are just a slap in the face.

In a typically timely fashion, The Dispatch is reporting the building will be demolished. The article is behind a paywall but there's nothing new to report from the print edition, other than a demolition permit has not been pulled yet.

Kinda like Barrett on the south side? That turned out really nice, hope this is well thought out too. I love that the original building is being repurposed.

The east side of Downtown could definitely use more parks. Columbus as a whole is woefully lacking in public parks. My understanding is that in Chicago everyone is within a 10 minute walk of a park.

How many Bridge Parks is this site?

I believe that's a light rail line...we can only hope.

Perhaps, but it doesn't make financial sense to build 3 or 4 separate buildings. You'll get one building with several different facades like The Nicholas on High St. The richest urban character, in my opinion, is different developers with different architects building buildings whose floor plates do not line up.

That made me laugh too about Encova's self righteous comment considering that once Pizutti's construction is complete, the only eyesore on that corner would be Encova's garage. I think the pedestrian scale of Oak and 9th is nice. Views on 9th terminate on a lovely church on Broad and Topiary Park. I actually like the different ownership on that block. If Kramer or Ryan ever want to develop something the entire block won't look like a mega-development.

^The parking lot is owned by Egan Ryan funeral home and is used for staging funeral processions. They probably asked too much for the lot and Pizzuti skipped over them. I agree about the early demo - Pizzuti should just collect rents for the next few years.

I forget - is something planned to cover the blank wall of the garage along McDowell? Townhomes perhaps?

The Miller's at Easton opened in 2019 and has already been torn down.
