That still keeps the bottleneck at Neil and Nationwide. That's where anyone heading east or north or into Downtown is forced to go. One of those intersections (Hanover or Hocking) needs to be a full service intersection.

Since the new Crew stadium is finished, shouldn't this thread be split? Astor Park stays and the stadium goes to the completed projects thread?

I drove by the site around 9:30 last night. All the floors were lit up and I could hear construction activity. I wonder if they are running 2 shifts?

Too be fair, this outside of Clintonville proper and within the outparcel hell between Morse and Worthington. If it was truly suburban the drive would circle the building.

This should be interesting - zoning hearing this Wednesday to allow a Chick-fil-A and a Valvoline instant oil change place on the former TeeJaye's site. Looks like they are keeping the sign with modifications.

Parking is not required in the Downtown district - council or the Downtown Commission have no authority to demand parking. Developers choose to include it because they feel their customers will demand parking.

^As I recall on the rendering, this is the only place the pre-cast will be at street level. You wouldn’t be able to tell what the material is on the upper floors from the street. I think you’re right about the rest of the facade - its glass.

That’s what OSU and Campus Partners wants - a place that seems familiar to suburban and small town parents and students. I won’t be surprised when first Applebee’s opens, Target broke that seal.

It seems nice - there's been a lot of infill in the Columbus portion of Tri-Village over the last several years.

This isn't necessarily true. I have a colleague who lives in the Lewis Center area - they would happily hop on commuter rail to come downtown because of the traffic. The traffic is very unpredictable - their commute varies from 30-60 minutes. The predictability of rail would be a big selling point.

I'm skeptical about retail in this area - there won't be enough traffic. The only way it would work if it was a destination restaurant.

I didn't see it either until a colleague pointed it out. Could be a nice way to get from the OSU hospital from the BRT.
