  1. Also, I’m amazed this Gingko is still alive considering the amount of excavation and construction that happened right next to the tree.
  2. My morning run took me by the Urban on W. Norwich. The exterior finishes definitely look better than the rendering.

  4. I've heard that this building will be renovated and the taller new build will be located in the parking lot to the north.
  5. ^The project might not have been announced yet. Often times the first time the public learns of a project is when the civil engineer submits the preliminary site compliance plan to the City.
  6. ^It looks like they are proposing an at-grade railroad crossing. I don't think there's enough room to go under the tracks. The road surface would need to be at least 20' below the tracks meaning the ramp down would need to be at least 500' long. That's also a tight turn to head east on Mound.
  7. It reminds me of the Optima project in Skokie IL
  8. ^Actually, you're correct. This streetview photo shows the temporary east side tracks being supported by the new construction.
  9. Can verify - I drove through here in both directions running lunchtime errands. It looks like the bridge was constructed to allow for future expansion on the west side.
  10. Reynoldsburg changed their zoning code in order to grow denser. https://www.columbusunderground.com/reynoldsburg-planning-for-wave-of-new-development-bw1
  11. ^Remember when a developer wanted to tear this (and the building next door) down for a parking garage? I'm glad this is being re purposed.
  12. The McGown posted new renderings on their FB page ( https://www.facebook.com/themcgown/ ) - looks like they lost a floor. Still looks good though!
  13. I believe the UIDRB has a say on architecture - hopefully they will address the High St frontage.
  14. Student housing is pretty lucrative so they can justify the cost - the Uncommon charges about $1K per bed.
  15. ^The Uncommon has two levels of underground parking. So does the Target building up the street, the View at Woodruff and the Xander downtown. There’s quite a few around town. A mixed bag is a good summation.
  16. Here it is. It almost matches the Uncommon. https://www.columbusunderground.com/new-king-and-high-plan-calls-for-demolishing-buildings-bw1
  17. One more week and one more floor.

  19. ^^That CU photo is so out of date. The podium slab was completed in October and crews are working on stair towers.
  20. ^They are correcting drainage issues. The asphalt wasn't installed with correct grades and water was collecting at some of the curb ramps.
  21. ^Isn't he kicking in cash for the City Council incumbents?
