  1. Anyone know when the SN Shake Shack will open? The signage is up.
  2. Pablo replied to a post in a topic in City Photos - Ohio
From Facebook - 315 construction at W North Broadway and Olentangy River Rd circa 1980. Photo by David E Lucas, the City of Columbus photographer at the time.
  3. I enjoy watching the progress on the two murals on my way to and from work.
  4. The one story laundromat has been demolished. The site is fenced off. Could this project be moving forward?
  5. Construction activity at 15th and High - 15th is just beyond the green fence. The west side of High is being rebuilt between 16th and 13th. When that is complete traffic will flip to the west side of the street. I imagine the east sidewalk will be closed and the remaining buildings will be demolished. The crane is at 14th and Pearl - could the WOSU project begin soon?
  6. If you meant North High St., there's a lot if info here: https://www.columbus.gov/highstreet/ The City paid for the project. I recall City Council voting for the funding.
  7. Construction barriers are down on High St. at the Graduate project.
  8. Sorry - didn't see the article posted above. The renderings are strange, are they trying to mimic old sepia toned photos? I like the density, hopefully it won't get too diluted. The developer has made steps to save portions of the older buildings.
  9. Looks like the Ruth Chris Steakhouse in the Hampton Inn at Swan and High across from the convention center is close to opening. Just noticed that signage is now on the building.
  10. Suburbs have no charms to soothe the restless dreams of youth.
  11. Borror's subdivisions were built under the name Dominion Homes. Here's an interesting bio from a few years back: https://www.columbusunderground.com/doug-borror-on-living-the-dream-in-the-short-north-bw1 They've definitely made a mark in urban developments over the past 5 years.
  12. Dozens of single family suburban subdivisions, most outside of 270. I don't recall the names.
  13. ^Borror was a single family home developer in the '80s and '90s.
  14. ^Wow that's a lot of wires.
  15. ^Lenox Square two rail stations for two MARTA lines.
  16. More Huntington Center photos here: https://www.columbusunderground.com/first-look-huntington-center-upgrades-bw1
  17. The Huntington Center's rooftop patio is complete. https://www.bizjournals.com/columbus/news/2019/06/27/photos-see-huntington-centers-16m-update.html?iana=hpmvp_colum_news_headline
  18. 670 was just two lanes in each direction with sloped banks that were overgrown. That's the green line you see. Here's High St. over 670 before the cap was built. OK, back on topic - looking forward to seeing the Hilton construction start!
  19. UA's service center is on Roberts Road
  20. ^Lots of change over the years!
  21. I certainly hope they go taller. Great visibility from 670. Here’s a view from across the street. Note the AC Hotel and convention center garage cranes.
  22. ^They went all out on the landscape ?
