There was construction activity on the site a couple of days ago.

The City has set up a pilot project for the public to comment on the light color (Kelvin temp) on Northridge Dr. in Clintonville. There's quite a difference between 3K and 4K lights. From an email I received: (Columbus, OH) The Columbus Division of Power is working to improve neighborhoods by providing high quality, energy efficient street lights. That is why the division is beginning a pilot project that will lead to new streetlight design standards for the entire city. Streetlights along Northridge Road between Indianola Avenue and Granden Road have been replaced with a new generation of LED correlated color temperature (CCT) lights. CCT uses the Kelvin temperature measurement scale to describe the relative color appearance of a light source indicating whether it appears more yellow/gold (3,000 Kelvin) or more white (4,000 Kelvin). In an effort to finalize the LED streetlight design standards for Columbus, the city has installed both 3,000 Kelvin and 4,000 Kelvin LED streetlights for public review. Lights are labeled “3K” and “4K” towards the top of the pole, right under the fixture. The lights are on from sundown to sunrise. Comments regarding color temperature preference from all interested stakeholders, even those who do not live in the immediate area, including residents, area commissioners, developers, architects, electrical contractors and other providers will be accepted until 4 PM, Monday, November 23, 2016. I think that was the goal - ODOT wanted to move stopped traffic off of 270 for safety reasons.

The library looks great. I happened to drive by a few evenings ago and it looks terrific at night.

The photos and description of the property are awesome. It will be interesting to see how a connection is made between Blendon Woods and this new area. A trail along the river somehow? I don't believe Metro Parks owns property along Big Walnut.

Ohio Health will consolidate all offices just north of the Kohls on Olentangy River Road near 315 and Broadway. Already in the works, I don't know the exact location yet because Target doesn't. However a friend in the business told me this was coming to campus it was just a matter of where and when. The "downtown" location is being scouted as we speak. Maybe the Edwards' project at Gay and High? Similar footprint and the developer group has a relationship with Target?

I would think the Lennox stays put. That location serves UA and Grandview. I'll bet the High St. location will get a lot of foot traffic during the school year.

Pretty awesome comment from CEO David Campisi: "Let's get on the offensive on this care," Campisi said. "We can get to these kids early and get them help and have beds for them instead of sending them home when therapists know we shouldn't. "People will stand up and talk about cancer and whether they had it or someone they loved had it, (but) it's not OK to talk about mental health issues," he said. "We want to break that barrier at Big Lots. ... We felt very compelled we need to be part of this journey to allow friends and family to talk about it, whether it's an eating disorder or autism or suicide, to speak out about it and not feel ashamed."

Years ago I was involved in a project that calculated that an underpass beneath the railroad was possible grade wise (immediately west of the 315 southbound off-ramp). It was costly. Probably a little late now considering the improvements already constructed in Grandview Yard.

Looks like one of the three apartment/extended stay hotel projects in Clintonville is dead. The article below reports the project at Indianola and Cooke will not move forward because of the expense of a sanitary sewer connection. The Dixie site needs to connect to a sewer on Oakland Park, quite a distance south of the project. The Dixie developer is still weighing his options. The park design reminds me of the Lakeshore East park in Chicago.

The City of Columbus is planning on road diet for Indianola (between E. North Broadway and Morse). Indianola will change from 4 lanes of traffic to 2 lanes with a center left turn lane. Bike lanes will be striped along the curbs. This has caused the typical amount of controversy in Clintonville. Farewell, buildings filled with nostalgia and character. The only one's filled with nostalgia & character are those shown in the picture. The Huntington Bank building is a hideous 70s/80s building and everything behind Charlies and where Evolved looks condemned. I was extremely opposed to this before I saw what the result is going to be and now I have come to terms that I will no longer be able to revisit my Too's and O-Patio days and see a random bdsm photographer taking pictures in the back hallway of Bernie's. Steel framing is going up on the third floor of the north LC building. Construction seems to be making a dent. Also noticed an excavator working in the basement of the south LC building.

There's a banner on the south side of the Buttles and High building advertising the new 9 story 711 N. High office building. It states "coming in 2018".

I'll bet Hubbard Park Place will be occupied before any of the LC projects
