  1. Ummm....
  2. https://www.reuters.com/article/lordstown-motors-hindenburg/update-1-short-seller-hindenburg-takes-aim-at-lordstown-motors-shares-slip-idUSL4N2LA3DD I can't post the link - it looks like their site might have crashed.
  3. Would it be better to copy/paste the link but not have it display the tweet? The user could then copy/paste the content of the tweet as a quote. Not sure if that would be easier for not bogging down the site.
  4. People have been claiming things like the hyperloop will "work" for over 100 years. Yawn.
  5. ^That's cool. Some friends are supposed to get married there later this summer / early fall, and I know a lot of folks had to rent tents for that space if they had more than 100 guests.

Ohio tried to remedy that by tacking on a $200 annual fee to EV registrations and $100 annually for hybrids. They'll find a way to get money from you somehow.
  7. Well, this has not been a fun few weeks.

https://www.consumerreports.org/car-repair-maintenance/pay-less-for-vehicle-maintenance-with-an-ev/ Nearly all EVs come with at least an 8 year / 100,000 mile warranty on the battery. Many suppliers are now making "million mile" batteries. As for the time to charge...have you just not been paying attention for the last 10 years? That's pretty standard for EVs. You take a bathroom break, get a bite to eat, and you've replaced a good portion of your range. A lot of EVs now have 250+ mile range at highway speeds. That's well over four hours before you'd run out of range. Plus, there are several auto manufacturers who are implementing 800 volt charging infrastructure...enough to replace ~80% of the battery range in under 20 minutes.

Oh, you mean that's what it looks like what a competent automaker deals with a potentially deadly liability in their vehicles? *glares at Tesla*

https://www.theverge.com/2021/2/23/22296991/hyundai-ioniq-5-electric-suv-ev-battery-range-specs Hyundai unveiled their Ioniq 5 this week.
  12. I mean, clearly the big play the last 6 months or so was the USPS contract. There may be a chance to re-enter again once the dust settles.
  13. Fwiw, it's bouncing around $16+ now.
  14. https://www.theverge.com/2021/1/25/22249237/biden-electric-vehicle-government-fleet-ev Pretty odd they chose Oshkosh. Biden has been calling to electrify the federal government's fleet. The contract now signals an openness to "fuel efficient ICE" vehicles. Considering these vehicles stay in service for 25-30 years...the U.S. federal government may one of the few entities still requiring gas to drive their vehicles in 2045.
  15. Note to self: stonks only go up.
  16. It got halted again. I should amend - I think they still have orders from Pride Group Enterprises in Canada for about 6k vehicles. But the USPS contract was/is for ~165k vehicles.
  17. It's at $15.30 now. Depending on your cost basis, I'd sell now. Everything was leading up to this contract...I'm not sure who they're going to sell to now.
  18. Workorse does *not* get the USPS contract. Stock is down to $18/share and trading has been halted.
  19. Yikes. I'm only off 3-4% depending on when, exactly, I calc it since today is a bit of a roller coaster ride.
  20. Markets are down 3+% almost *to the day* that the Corona Crash happened one year ago.

So like a digital SXSW? Sounds terrible.

Based on the article, it looks like they stopped ski operations in 2014? It said they planned to open up tubing in late 2015 (no idea if they still have it) but the fact that they didn't mention anything about lift tickets or skiing makes me think they stopped around then (and that sort of lines up with my recollection of realizing it was no longer around). Hard to imagine they could be very profitable with how small their footprint is/was and how much snow they probably had to make.

Yeah, Clear Fork. It had maybe 6-7 total runs. It's where I learned to ski as a kid lol. Here's a 2015 article on it - https://www.mansfieldnewsjournal.com/story/news/local/2015/11/25/clear-fork-ski-area-open-new-name-and-offerings/76368284/ And the old trail maps - https://skimap.org/SkiAreas/view/275 It was basically a mini version of Mad River with a few "black" runs to the right that was all essentially one hill and then a couple of "turns" or "loops" off of the middle/left lifts (if you're at the base facing the mountain). About the same vertical (300ish feet).

7S does have more ramps/jumps/rails if that's your thing. I've found 7S to be much too crowded during peak weekends for my liking so it's been a few years since I've been.

The longest run at HV is (off the top of my head here), about 3/4 of a mile. You can loop from the front face to the north face at 7S and it'll take you 1.5 miles. Of course, it's a mostly flat green. I think 7S may have one more two more runs that are over a mile. Snowshoe, I think, has fewer runs but a bit more vert. You can get 1,500 feet if you go across the road and don't mind the blacks/double blacks.
