  1. Arshot gonna Arshot. I just wish they'd sell to a better firm who can actually scope out the viability of a project this size in that area. It's gonna be 2098 and we're still going to be hearing about "Millennial Tower any day now..." and they'll just wait until 2100 and call it Centennial Tower.

Hybrid batteries != EV batteries, but point taken.

^My friends who have Teslas say basically every couple years they have to rotate the tires and there's one fluid or something to get annually. Basically no routine maintenance to worry about (well, until the battery needs replaced in...10 years?).
  4. Baker isn't good and Freddie doesn't know how to call plays. Can't win losing the turnover battle by 3 either. I see penalties are still an issue. Same old Browns.

Anecdotes do not constitute data. I'm sure every car brand has a few people like that. I'm not sure what the point is? We're still very early in the EV (re) adaptation. Who came up with this notion that EVs had to be small and cheap and that the goal is instantaneously to offer them for under $20k? Tesla has made the decision to go a bit more expensive to provide vehicles that are powerful, sleek, safe, and with plenty of range. Until the cost of the battery comes down, all their vehicles will be $30k+. You want a cheap EV? Buy a Leaf. Buy a Bolt. Buy a Smart EQ, e-Golf, Ioniq, Soul EV, etc. Total cost to own really isn't that much more than an entry level ICE vehicle.

I don't have a Tesla, just two friends who do, so @Gramarye may be able to speak about it better as an owner. But my friends do use their apps to either limit charging to stop at 90% or from what I gathered, they do something similar to what you mentioned. They're also both pretty techy so I don't know if what they're doing is standard through the Tesla app or if they built something outside of it as an add-on.

The time to get to 90%-100% isn't generally worth it (think of it like filling up a bucket -> it's much easier to pour the water in when it's empty, but you have to go slowly at the end). Watch your phone charge from 0-100%. 0-80% is pretty quick, but the last few %s take a long time. There's also battery degradation if you leave it plugged in at 100% for too long.
  8. Can we go back to wanting to fire Freddie or...?
  9. I think 1 mill is too high, given the city has shown pretty consistent, steady growth for awhile now. It would take some off-the-charts growth to get to 7 digits by 2020, imo.
  10. I mean, yes, I'm aware there are detours (that aren't convenient). Maygar was saying the new exiting ramp to Parsons would be a replacement for the 3rd St/Fulton exit that is permanently closing.
  11. If I'm downtown, is there a ramp I can take to 70E?
  12. COTA - joining the 21st century in 2019! Finally, though. It may take awhile for people to learn, but it's so much easier than having to go buy daily/monthly passes or constantly carrying the right number of bills/change.
  13. I know a lot of people have talked up BiggerPockets, but I think they're geared towards rental real estate. Maybe https://cleveland.score.org It couldn't hurt to contact them, see if they could help you connect with what you're looking for at least.
  14. "Please, leave our view of the gigantic downtown split unobstructed!!" Who are these people?
  15. Virtually all legacy automakers saw declining sales in Q3.
  16. https://www.thisweeknews.com/news/20191001/major-traffic-headaches-coming-this-fall-for-drivers-on-i-70-downtown This is so incredibly dumb, I'm surprised it got approved. There will be no ramp to I-70 East out of the downtown area for two years.
  17. Nick Chubb is the best former UGA running back in the NFL.
  18. Sam Darnold?
  19. No. There have been a dozen or more proposals in the last decade of buildings in the 400-500 ft range. Millennial Tower is perpetually stalled. The North Market Tower started at 400+ and is now slated for 333 ft. The city has had one building built taller than 300 ft (Miranova at 314 ft) since the turn of the century. Anything in the 400+ range gets downsized or killed outright.
  20. Reading these initial takes is so sad. If it stands at 26 stories / 333 feet (and I'm doubtful it will), it would only be slightly taller than Miranova and become (barely) the 2nd building over 300 feet since 2000.
  21. "They won't continually reduce height," they said. The new rendering looks nothing like the original that "won" the contest. Why even hold the contest at all?
  22. Betty's is about to get a lot more business in the summer.
  23. Interesting discussion on the broadcast this past weekend in regards to Fields's throwing motion, or more specifically his grip. Fields utilizes a "U" shape throwing motion, meaning when he grips the ball, his hand is more in a U shape. He never really gets "on top" of the ball to drive it down field. This leads to a lot of "floating" balls or passes that can sail high, especially if he's under pressure. The more conventional theory is for QBs to throw with a "C" shape - that is, their hand looks like a C and their four non-thumb fingers are on top of the ball as it's released. This ensures very few overthrows or balls that float. The one nitpick in Fields's game through three weeks is that when he misses it's often high. I don't have a current breakdown of C vs. U quarterbacks but it'd be interesting.
