  1. Sounds like you want it both ways - blame the coaches/Leonard/etc. for forcing Lowry into the situation and also blame Lowry for taking a shot that got blocked at the buzzer. It was a great defensive play by Green to deny the entry to Gasol and then immediately close out on Lowry. Hindsight is 20/20.
  2. It was blocked...
  3. Mike DeWine is criticizing the former AG here and...*checks notes*... you'll never believe it, it's the same person.

  5. ^^Dublin's rise is amazing. Nowhere, then 11th in 1990, 8th in 2000, 3rd in 2010, and now knocking on the door for 2nd place (largest suburb). And to your point, there basically isn't a "land locked" inside-270 city until #11 (Upper Arlington) for the 2018 rankings. And UA maxed out on their population (as well as density, I'm guessing) in the '70s.
  6. I'm not an expert by any means, but having visited Austin twice (decades apart) Columbus and Austin were very similar, but now Austin's growth is just on a much more massive scale - both in quantity and density/height. Austin definitely isn't as flat, their natural water is more usable (Lake Travis vs. basically a few kayaks on the rivers in Columbus), and their northern suburb (Round Rock vs. Delaware) is closer to the city. I'm sure there are plenty of other things I'm missing.

All four divisional winners are out (TB in 4 games, Calgary in 5). The "favored" Pens swept (they were technically the worse team based on the regular season). The Leafs and Golden Knights nearly pulled off upsets as well.
  12. I don't understand the rumors on Haskins - literally no concrete quotes or evidence (i.e. bad pro day, bad interviews, etc.), just random "anonymous sources" saying he's dropping. Maybe it's all being spun by the Giants to make sure no other team trades up ahead of them or maybe there is truth to it, it's just bizarre to see so many people saying he's dropping and not citing any particular reason why.
  13. ^Big missed opportunity not going with "Ugly 2na."
  14. So, uh, maybe it was a good thing car2go left?
  15. I guess? At least based on the renderings, it'll be capped - except instead of restaurants it will be green space. The rendering from the 1st article shows 4 lanes each way, whereas the second link (from the original announcement) showed 6 lanes each way. There is *some* green space, unattended brush in the area, but I can't imagine it's enough to add 4 total lanes.
  16. http://www.espn.com/nhl/matchup?gameId=401126315 ESPN says 0 opportunities. The Jackets took a couple penalties, but they were offset by Tampa also taking penalties at the same time.
  17. No power plays for TB.
  18. Gotta lose better!
  19. Talk to me when they learn to win 3 games in a series. They were up 2-0 last year and then promptly fumbled away four straight. Still, quite a comeback against one of the best teams of all-time. I think the Lightning had lost only one game when leading after two periods and vice versa, the Jackets had only won twice when trailing after two periods during the season. Bob was "Playoff Bob" for 20 minutes and then turned it on for the final 40. Sloppy play by Jones led to the first short-handed goal - Jones redeemed himself with the game winner. Savard had a rough night defensively - but made up for it with a beauty of a goal in which he toe dragged Victor Hedman, one of the best defenseman in the league. All in all, a sloppy 20 minutes defensively, which didn't get a whole lot better in the next two periods but Bob turned in some other worldly saves to bail them out. The offense started getting chances, though, and made Vasi...forget it...Vasoline look pretty ordinary. If you can get shots on him, you have a chance. On to Game 2.

https://www.cnbc.com/2019/04/10/tesla-shares-jump-as-lawmakers-begin-push-to-expand-ev-tax-credits.html A bipartisan group of legislators is pushing to expand the EV tax credit to 400,000 automobiles per auto manufacturer (currently 200k), and the offset is that it would phase out over 9 months instead of the current 15 months. GM and Tesla have hit the 200k threshold (and if this new bill passes, it may complicate things for the folks who got the "half" credit within the last year from buying a GM or Tesla EV).
  21. BREAKING - people like to have a motor transport them instead of putting in manual work.
  22. It ticks me off so much that Columbus, 19 years in, has never hosted a playoff game on a Friday or Saturday.
  23. Tampa in 3.
  24. I gave up on this team 5 games ago.
  25. Wake up and the CBJ are now in WC #1 spot and control their own destiny. Carolina has a tough game against Toronto tomorrow (Toronto may or may not be locked into their playoff seed after their game tonight), then New Jersey and the Flyers - two teams who are out of it. The Jackets, meanwhile, host Boston tomorrow night and Boston is very nearly mathematically locked into their playoff spot as well. Then they have the Rangers and Senators, two teams who are also playing out the string. Under the radar, the Pens have a back-to-back with Detroit who have sneakily won five in a row. Pens are three up on the Jackets in the standings, so the CBJ would need to win out and have Pittsburgh go 1-1-1 or worse. Montreal, still mathematically alive, faces a brutal final stretch of Tampa (top team in the league and perhaps best team of the salary cap era), Washington (Metro division leaders), and Toronto.
