  1. "I'm a strict textualist except for in all these cases where I disagree with the founders and signers of a particular amendment" - Republican

  3. Guess we have to add *Alaska* to the watch list.
  4. http://radio.wosu.org/post/ohioans-requested-12-million-absentee-ballots-outpacing-2014 1.2 million absentee ballots requested, outpacing 2014 midterms.
  5. https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/polls/20181030_OH7.pdf New poll out recently showing OH-7 is...sort of close? Gibbs holding a mid-single digits lead based on the very few polls done of the 7th CD.
  6. https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2018-midterm-election-forecast/house/ohio/14/ OH-14 hasn't been particularly close since it was re-districted. Even before re-districting it's been Republican-held since the '02 Election. There really are no swing districts in Ohio, save for maybe OH-1 and OH-12 but those are still typically very right-leaning in "normal" circumstances.
  7. It's not out of the realm of possibilities that Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, and Iowa all flip to a Democratic governor. Georgia, Florida, and New Mexico as well (I'm sure there are a few I'm forgetting).
  8. https://www.politifact.com/ohio/statements/2018/oct/29/mike-dewine/mike-dewine-ad-blames-rich-cordray-raising-taxes-a/ DeWine is really reaching (aka lying) in his final ads leading up to the election.
  9. I'm talking about the governors number. Neither is at 40%.
  10. You have to try really hard to find ~20% of voters who are undecided a week out from Election Day.

  13. Terry Francona was hired on October 8, 2012 as the manager of the Indians. Since then these head coaches have been fired in Cleveland: -Browns: Pat Shurmur, Rob Chudzinski, Mike Pettine, Hue Jackson -Cavs: Byron Scott, Mike Brown, David Blatt, Tyronn Lue
  14. There are very few polls being conducted. Not sure we see any more before 11/6.
  15. I just don't get why you wouldn't fire Hue after 1-31. Sure, the talent was lacking...but he wasn't elevating the team either. And now you dump your new OC after 8 weeks?
  16. Everything I've read shows it honestly as a 50/50 race.

The Red Sox have won 4 of the last 15 World Series. I'm not sure any fan base has gone from lovable losers to hated that quickly. The Dodgers become the first team since the 1936-1937 (New York) Giants to lose back-to-back World Series on their home field.
  18. Hue Jackson is out, per Adam Schefter.
  19. https://www.the-review.com/news/20181024/ad-watch-troy-balderson-falsely-accuses-danny-oconnor-on-health-care Guess Balderson has to run desperate ads since he has so little money.

I'll add the 2nd season of Making a Murderer to this request as well.
  21. 1) Pureval was 6 years old at the time of the bombing and never worked on the case. http://www.wvxu.org/post/commentary-do-purevals-opponents-think-he-was-6-year-old-terrorist#stream/0 2) There's no basis for that and comes across as weak? Gee, where has this criticism from you been of Donald Trump!
  22. Well then.

^In Columbus, we get access to a lot of online publications as well - I use my card frequently for Consumer Reports, but there are many others. I do go to the library for books and I assume that is the most well-known feature, but e-books and online publications can be very valuable, too.
  24. Isn't Trump's go-to line, "How's your 401k doing?" Not good, dude.
  25. Outside of the D-Line, which has taken a bit of a hit with Bosa straight up leaving school and a few other injuries, and Haskins...this team is average to mediocre across the board. 31-0. 55-28. 49-20. Urban allows his team, which is consistently in the top 3 in recruiting classes (so the talent is there), to suffer some absolutely horrendous losses. It's clear from the games when he was suspended that Ryan Day is a superior offensive coordinator and Urban is sabotaging those efforts in play-calling. Either Urban needs to change or he's done here as a national title contender.
