If I have the timing right, the first play took 7 seconds then the next play took 6 seconds. He opted to kick with 8 seconds - so it seems very viable one more play (even just in the 8-15 yard range) would have taken less than 8 seconds if they got it to the sideline with good timing. I guess the risk is getting tackled inbounds, sack, etc. Being where they were, the Saints likely wouldn't have been in prevent anymore so the windows that were open on the two previous plays may have been closed down quicker.

Free agent kickers available: Dan Bailey - All time he's an 88.2% kicker and 99.3% on PATs. In 2017, he played 12 games for Dallas and was 15/20, though he did miss one from 20-29 yards, one from 30-39 yards, and two PATs. Still...can't be worse than Zane. Career long is 56 yards and he's 95+% for his career inside of 40 yards. Kai Forbath - He's 85.9% for his career with a long of 57. "Only" 169/180 on PATs. Last year with Minnesota he was 32/38 on FGs. Cairo Santos - He hasn't played a lot, but he's 90/107 for his career (84.1%) on FGs on has made 127/132 (96.2%) of PATs. Blair Walsh: He's "only" 82.4% all-time on FGs and has made 95.1% of his PATs. Have to act fast if Minnesota opts to dump their kicker and Zuerlein for the Rams may be out for a bit with an injury.
