  1. I thought it was being turned into office space.
  2. This was recently posted on their social media accounts. On a side note, I drove over the Main Street bridge toward the peninsula today, and the view of this project along with Gravity 2 in the background was pretty cool. I wasn't able to get a pic because it was raining and I was driving, but someone needs to grab a pic from that vantage point soon.
  3. I'm not sure why. Last I checked (before the pandemic) it was cheaper to get to Paris by flying out of CMH and taking a layover than it was to fly to Paris direct from CVG. There were also many more options with much more favorable departure/arrival times and total travel times were about equal to driving to CVG from Columbus and then flying.
  4. Yes, CMH will be building a brand new terminal next to the new rental car garage. Once built, the new terminal will connect directly to the new rental car garage and a new parking garage that will be built next to the rental garage. It seems like a dumb design now, but it will make sense once the plan is built out.
  5. We are simultaneously at steps 3 and 4!
  6. I'm guessing you will be able to purchase tickets at the ticketing windows. Not sure if they will be staffed on non-game days. You might have to go into the offices or the team shop, will be accessible on non-game days.
  7. The Dispatch has a pretty cool write-up on the project to paint the smokestack. https://www.thisweeknews.com/story/business/2021/05/28/municipal-light-plant-smokestack-serve-symbol-crew/7448666002/?utm_campaign=snd-autopilot Here's what the finished product will look like. The smokestack will be "activated" in some way during games, but the team is not yet saying how that will work.
  8. They had the stadium lights on last night, and it looks amazing. I can't wait to attend my first game here.
  9. Not yet. They are using most of the area the parking garage and office building will be built on as parking for the massive amount of construction workers working on the stadium every day. Once the stadium opens in July they will likely begin work on the garage and then the rest of the components will follow.
  10. You selectively quoted my comment (not even the comment in which I posted the tweet) and then started arguing against something I wasn't saying. You said nothing about the tweet. But I'm glad you to hear you are relaxed.
  11. Seriously, relax. I wasn't pushing anything. I was making a joke. It's a foregone conclusion that at least one NIMBY will pop up and complain about this, but as I said, it's part of living in the city so they need to get over it.
  12. I'm not making an argument against the stadium or it's lighting feature. Relax. You conveniently left out the part where I said this is part of the experience of living in the city.
  13. Oh I'm not blaming them at all. I'm not sure how happy the people living around the stadium will be with a giant Old Spice logo shining through their windows at night, but that's part of the joy of living in the city.
  14. That's one way to generate some extra revenue!
  15. Hey @Imwalleis that Gravity crane up yet? I'm getting impatient!

Big news from the Clippers today. Starting in June, Huntington Park will be open to full capacity without a mask mandate! Can't wait to get out to a packed dime-a-dog night! https://www.milb.com/columbus/news/columbus-clippers-announce-full-capacity-at-huntington-park-beginning-in-june
  17. So Columbus saved the Crew (twice) and the Ohio Theater. Nice!
  18. I'm thinking maybe a parking garage? https://oeaaa.faa.gov/oeaaa/external/searchAction.jsp?action=displayOECase&oeCaseID=480415911&row=214
  19. Yea that one should have one as well, although I can't remember if an application had been submitted yet or not.
  20. Looks likely we might be seeing a construction crane for The Gateway project soon. I'm guessing it'll be a tower crane, but we'll see. Application for 151' building: https://oeaaa.faa.gov/oeaaa/external/searchAction.jsp?action=displayOECase&oeCaseID=480777483&row=295 Application for 230' crane: https://oeaaa.faa.gov/oeaaa/external/searchAction.jsp?action=displayOECase&oeCaseID=480778272&row=296
  21. Awesome! I read a few months ago that the hotel portion was delayed due to uncertain hospitality conditions related to Covid. It's great to see it finally underway.
  22. Is the red crane for the hotel portion of this phase?
  23. Looks like they are preparing the crane that is going to build the other crane.
