  1. A 16 story building would be even better. Unfortunately, you would probably get some push back from GV residents because you would be able to see the building from the top of the steeple on St. Mary's Church.
  2. Agreed, that sucks. Although I'm sure it's extremely inefficient for modern day medical practices.
  3. But if someone in Clintonville stands on their roof, they might be able to see the top of this building, and we can't be having that.
  4. Wow! That looks much better than what I was expecting! Hopefully the finished product can at least look 90% like the rendering.
  5. I saw a stray dog at the 0:55 mark and now I'm sad. Seriously though, that's a very cool video. I can't wait until construction gets going full force, and I really can't wait to see what gets announced for the future phases.
  6. I second your feelings. While I do enjoy the freedom of working at home, I also find value in being in the office. I'm not an overly social person, but I find it easier to be more productive through in person communication. I also feel Zoom/Teams meetings are very limiting, and become more limiting as you add more people. So, I don't blame SW for continuing to view WFH as a short-term setup. I'm sure many companies, including SW, will be more flexible with WFH setups in the future; however, I just don't see many positions transitioning to 100% WFH setups.
  7. How about this quote: "We would live in a solar eclipse from the shadow of that building," said Travis Ulmer, an ER physician who lives on Broadview. A SOLAR ECLIPSE!!!
  8. Exactly. Nobody really cares about a generic name. It doesn’t affect how good or bad the experience of living in the development actually is.
  9. Does anyone really care about the name though? They obviously don't try, but that's probably because they don't need to because nobody really cares.
  10. Hey @Gnoraa we need some Hilton construction pics!
  11. Not sure how I missed that, but I managed to guess correctly! Thanks.
  12. I'm excited to see their plans for this. I'm not expecting anything massive, but something in the 10-12 story range would be great.
  13. Do we have any idea how tall this will be? I didn't see anything in the PDF. I'm guessing it will be 4-5 floors.

Great pictures! I think mid-late fall might be the best season in Columbus, so you picked a great time for a tour.
  15. I'm extremely excited to have such a tall new building going up (it would be our 11th tallest building), but it will kind of suck to have such a massive wall blocking a lot of the campus "skyline" when you are driving down 315.
  16. Oops...forgot about the Millennial Tower thread lol
  17. You guys ready to hear a joke? And the long-proposed 28-story, $150 million Millennial Tower pitched by Arshot Investment Corp. is still on the table, said Andy Mills of Elford Realty, who is representing the project. https://www.bizjournals.com/columbus/news/2020/07/21/high-rise-proposals-moving-ahead-in-pandemic-times.html
  18. So uh....what's the deal with Arlington Gateway?
  19. It would definitely be pushed for. The railway I mentioned above just so happens to pass fairly close to Polaris.
  20. I think there will eventually be some sort of rail transport connecting downtown Delaware to downtown Columbus, but it will be difficult to make that happen along High Street even though I would love for it to happen. I can only imagine the outrage when trying to get it built through Worthington. There is a freight rail line that passes under the convention center and goes all the way north to Delaware. If they could somehow work out a deal for ROW access or build an additional rail for passenger only trains which would follow the current rail path, it would be amazing. The same rail (I think) also goes all the way to Lancaster and passes directly through Groveport and Canal Winchester. As a matter of fact, Canal already has an old train depot along these tracks!
  21. Well done! Now if only we could get Millennial Tower built to fill in the gap between the Franklin County Courthouse and everything else in the last picture. Also, the view in that third picture is really going to change over the next couple years as Gravity 2.0 and the Scioto Peninsula developments rise.
  22. There were plans for a 12-story hotel there a few years ago, but they never went anywhere.
  23. ^ The stadium is looking good! I can't wait to drive down 71 to watch the Crew lay another beating on FCC ? Seriously though, I'm so pumped for the two soccer stadiums we have under construction in Columbus and Cincinnati. It's great for both cities, the state, and soccer in the US.
